After a short while of re-appearing, the site where I've got music uploaded, musicfreedom.com, has yet again disappeared.

So the applets on my page won't stream, except the last*m one, but then I managed to upload most of my more recent music there.

This particular ditty I made today while beta-testing Ugo's Disturbance update, and playing with xoxos' bomb VSTi.

It's now a "fixed mix" - someone wanna let me know if it sounds ok on decent speakers?

Yay! Always interested to hear what you're exploring... Just on headphones here but it sounds pretty fizzy, not much low end except the explosive sounds which seem to be really torquing some lows. Anyhow, some great sounds - I'd actually like to remove the melodic synth and hear it just as raw texture sweeps and glitchy rhythms, which it does for a bit.

ok later i post that

Cool un-song, Runny. Some great noise and gash work here. Very creative. Listened twice. My ears tickle a little. I look forward to you trying out Poly's suggestion, but this is nice like it is, too.
I can almost hear a little 3am-fluence in this composition.
Happy fireworks day.

Alrighty then, here's a updated mix, same link on my site edited to reflect this:

http://www.3amnoise.net/runagate/files/ ... chure2.mp3

I'm uploading an archived of each rendered wav compressed in .ape form which ya'll can use however you'd like, but you'll need the free Monkey Audio app to decompress them. It's about 97 Mb, it'll take a while to get onto my site.

For that matter http://www.3amnoise.net/runagate/Secretarchive.html is the page where I left the individual download links to my last one, Batik Poultice. Anyone can use these things in songs, just please let me hear em if you can remember - I know it's freaking hard - I haven't even posted the VSTs I used in this new song except xoxos' bomb vsti and ugo's upcoming disturbance vsti update.

makes me wish bomb would have been released around the time of the dx7.

lordy

Sounds like it'd be a good thing to just let loose with on stage.
I should make an all-bomb song.

I can't get this song to sound right. I'm reverse engineering the rendered tracks and I'm mystified as to where the kicks' oomph has gone. Very little of the drumming has any effects, not even compression. It's just straight drummatic and I was hoping it'd gel with the other sounds, but I think I have to backtrack more steps to figure it out. There's a lot I really like in there, and unlike usual there's nothing broken or irreparable about this song's project files! :o

Dude, your washboard player is THE shiznit-O-bam-snip-snap-savies!

I have a huge backlog of xoxos toys to try out but the multiverse refuses to acknowledge my desire to use Windows on my computer!

I have been buying update versions of Windows since I got my first computer so I don't have a single "full" version of XP. Try as I might there does not seem to be a hole in my MacPro that I can cram all of the floppy disks I have for my original version of Win 3.11 so I can then install Win 95, 98 and finally XP. I tried installing an MSDN copy of Vista I got from work but Bootcamp won't recognize the disc as a bootdisk! I'll have to buy a copy of Vista when I get my next paycheck. Sigh.

This doesn't smell like poop!

You're right, it could use a touch of Outkast.

Your OS story baffles me. Are you trying to tell me you've upgraded from floppies every time you installed a new WinDoze system? Wow. You, sir, truly out-nerd me.

Well, I went back through all 19 project files to try to find the missing bass. I asked how this sounds on good speakers and have my answer, but haven't found a way to fix it yet. I'm baffled. The original rendered loops sound thick and sick, I tossed them back into FL as wav clips... dunno, I obviously did something in there but I haven't traced it down. Which is too bad; the drums solo sound pretty wicked.

Ah, well, my pop music is coming along nicely and I finally got much of a Rube Goldberg type song written (on paper, that is).

Just glad to have you back, justin. I been working a lot but feel free to call me. I quite look forward to it, actually, and you can rant about your month.

Jazzy said he heard some 3am influence. Which is interesting as there's nothing technique-wise in here that you'd do at all! So I must be doing something right, as since the first moment I heard one of your tracks I though, shit I wish I could do that!

Hell yeah!

I don't know how the sounds got messed up, and I'm glad it wasn't just my ears.

Check out the Hadronic fixed mix and please tell me how that sounds, somebody. It's radically different. :) My lil speakers aren't that bad, apparently. I really have no idea what "decimated" the drums, I followed the signal chain through 21 project files and, though I rescured the original sounds, I've just don't know what wrecked them.

Thanks for listening.

Awesome update, Runagate. Great sounds and ill drum mangling. An instant favorite of mine.

wow, really? Cool. Hmm I tried updating the rendered tracks but it took forever so I'll try again tomorrow.
