Hi,
I'm just curious here ---
In case I use up my registrations on IK products, how cool are they at giving me more?
Mind you, I'm not even sure I'll ever use them up but just in case.
As it happened I bought and installed the plugins (ST, Amplitube 2, JHE, SVX Uno) and had a power supply failure and system crash. Reinstalled. Virus attack a few weeks after that. Backup didn't help at all.
I'm taking a holiday anyway so I won't reinstall before that, but that's going to be my third time (out of 5).
I just might reuse authorizations (that are safely in my mailbox) but that might not work, because I reinstalled Windows (it's completely the same machine though).
cheers
k

Only had to ask once. They refreshed all 3 (it was 3 at the time) registrations. I just sent an email asking what I had to do and they just refreshed them.soulata wrote:how cool are they at giving me more?

When I had used up my three authorisations for SampleTank, I emailed their support people on Friday night...by Monday lunchtime they'd emailed back saying I now had five more!
So unless you're expecting 24-7 support (which I wasn't) then I'd say you won't have any problem, although if you've had to do three authorisations in a short period of time it would probably be worthwhile explaining why.
As far as I know you should only need a new authorisation if you change the hardware substantially (including a new hard disk) or upgrade the OS - if you're just doing a reinstall it should let you use the original codes.
[Edit] When I said new hard disk, I meant a replacement one, not an additional one.
