Very nice upright bass... 5E? A clicky!

As for missing on the market... I'm not like an expert of what's on the market, but it seems to me that there are no extreme saxophones. You know every library there seem to cover smooth playing. If you can get to sample someone who can play like Peter Brotzman for e.g. you may find a niche. Cheers!

Since you already mentioned doing an upright piano, I would still like to see an upright recorded with a bit of character. Perhaps a single condensor in a fixed location for a nice mono piano sound. Wouldn't mind it being slightly out of tune too.

A good honkey tonk or tack piano library is desperately needed IMO. I would love that. I'm not sure if you feel like having your piano detuned, and/or tacks added to the hammers though.

I'd also like a mariachi type trumpet. You know, something with a sharp attack and forceful blowing that would be used for slow melodic passages. Think something like the band Love's Alone Again Or, or Belle and Sebastian's Dog on Wheels, or even a few Cake songs.

Simple percussion would be nice. Stuff like maracca's, sleigh bells, tambourines, shakers. The trick would be getting the off hits to sound realistic. It would be great if you could pull that off in a way that sounds good and isn't difficult to program.

BTW, the text on your site doesn't appear properly with IE6. Not sure how many people still use it in the real world though (I'm at work now, home PC doesn't use it).

That's great news: i have a day off tomorrow and guess what? I allready planned on sampling my mom's piano (the one i started with when i was 4...) This piano isn' really a honkey tonk but it's not tuned and i thought it could be interesting to sample it, so if you wait a bit (some days) , you'll be able to get it :)

This is also planned, the hardest thing will be to get all the instruments, i have some, but i'll have to borrow or rent the rest...

As for the horns, it's really difficult to get a good sounding sample library, i think i'll try some day, but i'm not sure it's going to work... maybe i'll begin with my sister's flute.

Yes, and i really can't do anything about it, my player is made of flash and javascript.

For ie6, i'm working on it, but i really hope that most of the people interested in this is using something else, ie6 is really old...

yeah, a "bad piano" gets another vote. even one that gives a bit of room atmosphere could be nice.


and the more weird, real and lo-fi sounding percussion instruments the better. there are MILLIONS of electronic-drum hits available for free download all over the internet, and Ive got way too many that I almost never use. but good, natural-sounding, acoustic drums and percussion are much harder to track down, and consequently worth paying good money for.

The piano recording session has to be posponed... building works... that could make a significant character for a piano :) I'll be sampling the ess335 guitar instead today...

For the vibraphone, the mallets i used are allready soft ones... the free viby was recorded with hard ones.

I had an idea, i might make a trombone since a friend of mine is a great player!

And to the acoustic drums, no worries, i'll make more, drums is my first intrument :)
