Thanks for the link, i may not use this since it's not that cheap, look at the prices: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/pricing.php it's 5$ only for 50mo... and with soundbanks, i really need more than that

When i'll redo the upright bass, i think i'll just sell the two version separately, 5€ is really cheap (i think) but the new version will cost something like 30 or 35 euros (a little cheaper for the owners of the old version) depending on the details i'll put into it and also sound much better.
I will also discount some old products or make some bundles.

hi, whats happening with this stuff? i see the site hasnt been updated with any new products for a couple of months. was looking forward to hearing the percussion kit.

presumably i can still buy the existing products such as the fretless bass etc though, right?

Hi, i'm sorry i did not respond earlier... i've been working hard went on vacations... and also been contacted by native instruments which is great news for me!!!

If you wait some more days, i'll make available some new stuff, a fender rhodes stage 73 mark1, a musicman stingray bass (fingered, muted and slap) and an es335 gibson guitar. All of these are allmost ready and i need to update the website also.
The percussion set will come, don't worry, but i've been on something else lately (the fender rhodes weights 2,5Gb 13 sustain notes and 25 release per note, i really worked hard on this here's a little preview: http://www.acousticsamples.free.fr/audi ... DESYSM.mp3 )

Oh and yes, you can still get the other products!

ah, ok. no problem.

what did NI want? trying to eliminate the competitton and shut you down?

good looks on the new instruments. i'm more interested in drums/percussion to be honest, but considering the fretless bass as it sounds amazing, and i cant afford a real one right now.

not sure i can even afford your sample library ether to be honest...but thats just cos i'm broke, not cos its overpriced by any means

anyway, look forward to hearing the percussion when it comes.

will check the contents of the old paypal account and see about getting your drums

NI wanted to maybe bundle some of my libraries with their products, but this is not done already, they're evaluating right now.

For the percussions, what would you like to get in a percussion set. I'm about to get or rent all the instruments right now, and if you especially want one, maybe i can get it and sample it.

Since you already mentioned doing an upright piano, I would still like to see an upright recorded with a bit of character. Perhaps a single condensor in a fixed location for a nice mono piano sound. Wouldn't mind it being slightly out of tune too.

I think the Schimmel Braunschweig Upright is exactly what you describe.

First, congratulations, I think you're doing some great job with your instruments.

I really like the demos of your fretless bass and I was wondering how easy it is to actually play the instrument. Could you give us some info about the mapping, if there's any keyswitching between sample sets, etc?

This bass was actually the first one i did and there is simply no keyswiches, no special mapping, only the sustain samples and the release ones. So it's really easy to play on a keyboard, you just have to know how to play keyboards...

The only disadvantage is you won't have the hammers and slides that come with the bassysm-J (the new one).
It's a little less easy to play but the only extra thing you'll have to do is press a key once (or select it in the kontakt interface) if you want to play normal, hammers, slides or legato modes.
The last three modes juste select the hammers, slides or legato samples if the last note you played is still down and the new one is less or equal old-note +3 or -3 semitones.
Maybe i'll make the manual available for download on the web page. And also i may have to put a little video on the website, but i'm not a really good piano player... i'll try to find a friend of mine to do that for me

ah, i guess i'm a little late on this. didnt see it before.

anyway, there's not one percussion instrument i'm particularly missing, what's more important for me is how they are recorded. a lot of percussion samples just feel too processed and clean, i really like something more rough and organic: in short, a bit more real sounding.

some stuff ends up sounding like it was synthesised even if it is a recording of a real instrument. i guess this is all about including a little room in the sample, and most importantly lots of dead/ghost/or even "mistake" hits. i.e. slightly sloppy/flam-ish hits. imperfections.

but dont go making stuff just for me, A> I might have weird taste, and B> as youve seen, I aint the biggest spending customer in the world ; )

So, the additional noises, harmonics and ghost notes on the fretless are located on keys above or below the normal range of the instrument?

Yes exactly

And it's the same on the other instruments, i did not make a script like the scarbee basses that determines the position of the left hand. The noises that you make with your hand happend only when you move it and is between two notes so even with a good script you can't determine the right moment to play that noise since you'll know it too late.
It's exactly the same problem as the little noise you make when you select a note with your left hand just before playing it. This sound is really important but not playable in real time on a keyboard.
