MaxSynths wrote:Hi g200kg, in the todo list you can put that bug in the open dialog that won't let you see the *.skin files.
that's because the open dialog leads you to another location, first ...
just navigate to the folder where your skin is located manually, then it works ... here, that is ...
another thing you can try is:
open the file>setup dialog in skinman, and set the 2 paths ... this should prevent that behaviour right from the start ... that, however, preconditions that you save your skinman files within one specified folder ...

are you sure this isn't only with .knobman knobs? that's what happens here when i load a knobman knob that is made with an earlier version of knobman, because knobmanfiles did not include the png buildt into it.
however, if so, just load up your knob in the newest knobman version, resave it, and it'll appear in skinman then ...
Nope... After multiple tests, It happens on Rectangle shape after any other shape creation was done. The rectangle doesn't appear and it goes in a dot in the upperleft of the master canvas. With the ellipse, the same thing happens but the shape is visible, unselectable and in a dot in the uppeleft corner. (All this with version 0.84)

But thanks anyway for the tip, I know what I'll have to do when this will happen! :)

heh, well, before i put you out of your job, there has to go a lot of water down the hill further ... and, btw, what i've learned in graphic works/gui is based a lot on the stuff you did, actually ... the the honour is on your side actually ...

hi martin, thanks! especially you saying that makes me proud ...
how's compressive going btw?
bduffy wrote:Whoa! I just caught wind of this! :-o That looks amazing, Brok. And of course there's a limiter at the output! ;) :tu:
why did i know that you're going to say that? :) but thanks, it means a lot to me that pro's also consider my work as good!
bduffy wrote:I'll have to check this thing out. Can you use this to skin already-made plugins?
no ... it's a graphic app mainly, but specialized on the music/plugin market ... the neat thing is, that it loads the .knobfiles one made with knobman, so you can design a knob (with rotation) in knobman, then simply load up that file into skinman and easily build a gui with it ... but the most positive thing at knobman/skinman is, that it is focussing on what's really needed for designing gui's, you can work with it right away, no need to learn the ammount of photoshop or gimp or whatever ... it's very easy ...

thanks all again!
Cool, that's great. I'd like to get into GUI design sometime, so this is an exciting tool.

Awesome, I just made that GUI using only Spoonman.

Sadly, I'm a terrible at creating imagery but I look forward to someone else using this to make pretty GUIs!

can't wait to try this!:)

Hi Niko, I haven't done anything to Compressive the past month or so as I have been too busy playing my new guitar I have built. Sounds fantastic through my own hand made valve amp

It may be time to do some more on Compressive though now as I have a few ideas for it and I am sure you will have some suggestions :D

By the way, if you are ever looking for something to design a GUI for, then feel free to reskin Compressive Pro/Lite

brok landers wrote:hi guys,

i don't actually have the permission to post this (so moderators feel free to delete this post if i violated any rules), but please take my word:
take this post as my encourage to help g200kg to get this wonderful software to where it belongs to: to the very top.
for all of you who love knobman, but dream of a similar software that can actually do whole guis, here you go:

http://www.g200kg.com/en/software/skinman.html

don't expect too much yet, at the current state skinman is early, early alpha, and there's tons of stuff that's left to be implemented, so i thought i'd open this thread for feature suggestions and bugreports, as well as a semi-forum in general to share thoughts/skins, etc ...
let's all help g200kg whereever we can. if we do so, i'm sure skinman is going to get as useful as knobman, which is one of the most innovative software on the planet to me ...

oh, and of course: i'm sure g200kg appreciates donations, so consider it, if you find his software useful ...

thanks, and now try and post!!

btw: i amnot affiliated or somehow connected to g200kg in any supposable way.
awesome, been waiting for this 8) :D
