Really? That's wild. He played bass for Missing Person and went on to do a bunch of New Age albums.

you have to hear this song. the bass, everything is outrageous here.

yeah Patrick O'Hearn was Terry Bozzio's friend, he had his standup in the car when Terry had to drop by for something, FZ said, 'hey, you play that dog kennel?' and O'Hearn ended up on Sleep Dirt,
The Ocean Is The Ultimate Solution (oh yeah, really tasty dog kennel on Flambay, and he plays on Time Is Money, there.) and in the '76-77, early '78 bands.

there is a real good synth, space, album with O'Hearn and Steve Roach, which I can't cite the name of, early 90's?

moving right along, I found THIS:

Drowning Witch/Envelopes

if you want to immediately hear one of the most preposterously beautiful guitar solos, with the most intimate response from an ensemble you'll hear in music, start with part II.

There is video hear which is gobsmacking, with the compo Envelopes, first move actresses morphing one into the next, then paintings throughout the canon doing that. Also some Bruce Bickford claymation in part II.

there's a really good album called The Ambient Expanse, O'Hearn has a track on it along with Roach and a few others.

another one to check out is Patrick O'hearn's second to last album, "Slow Time", it's much more of a departure from his earlier work in that it's more esoteric and more synthesized.

I heard that one, and came close to buying it. I heard part of it on Hearts Of Space I think, I remember seeing it in Amoeba Records one day.
