Fairly tight mix, some mud in the bass freqs, also!!

Something is wrong with whatever you used to loudness maximize this.. maybe it was made a little too loud, and got slightly clipped,
Its kind of a bit in the very high freq's yeah?

Maybe try making it again slightly quieter?

Also!! I think you should have your album mastered by a pro... Totally, if you have finished a whole album like this, get it done proper. The music is just too good.

I really have to find someone to master the album...
I've used GCLIP on the mastrer and Voxengo Elephant to get this volume.

I like it. Try to get rid of some frequencies below 62hz and add a little bit of "sparkle" in mastering.

Mixing: add something on the snare, maybe increase a little bit the volume. Add something to the solo working on EQ to make it more briliant. Restrict the hat pan (and any other percussion) more close to the center and if you can add some rhytmic guitar parts (both electric and acoustic) panned left and right (in place of the percussions). Well are just suggestions, they come spontaneous while hearing.

Yes. I suggest to check the low frequencies of the bass guitar in mixing to reduce a little bit the low end (if you mix using a subwoofer set properly you can ear very well what I'm talking about). Then in mastering, on the whole track, focus your attention in the very low frequencies below 62hz: there are also other instruments that in the whole mix can affect that range. To have full control over the bass frequencies try to cut everything you don't need below that threshold (for example most of the time you can cut everything below 40hz and the result is a powerful but clean mix in the low frequencies). Hope this help
