Fired this (pre) amp up again last night after having not used it in a while. Awesome crunch at lower gain levels with a compressor, graphic eq, and tube screamer before it (both with low volume levels feeding the amp), and don't suck out all the mids. Actually had the mids boosted on the amp and played with the LOW and High cut knobs. Use a darker sounding cab, as this amp can get really bright and buzzy in the treble area. Cuts through quite nice. This one and the Wagner MKII are not listed in the KVR plugin database, as well as his Simple Combo. His amps are great for high gain and leads, but back off the gain and input gain (with a Tubescreamer and/or compressor) and you have a nice punchy low gain crunch.

This is a Bogner Uberschall emulation if I'm not mistaken?

Are Nick Crow's new 8505 and 7170 amps updated versions of the Wagner and Wagner Mk2 or are they 4 seperate amps?

If they are seperate, where can I get Wagner Sharp and Mk2?
