everyone knows that fasttracker 2 was dead when screamtracker 3 was released.
(as an aside, DAW wars were just as stupid back then as they are today).

I think it really strange that Steinberg, Cakewalk, etc haven't simply closed their doors and shut down for good since REAPER came along. It must be more than 2 years since Cockos showed them how sequencers should be done, yet they are so slow to catch on and realise that it's All Over for them. I mean, obviously nobody in their right minds is buying anything other than REAPER now, right?
Weird.
Weird.

Out of curiosity, why do we need to know this? It's almost like deep down you secretly want us to provide reasons for you to keep using Cubase.tattiemannie wrote:The Reaper arrived and told me to uninstall it from my hard drive and put it out of its misery!

I still get seasick in Reaper.
I just can't get used to it, whatever the skin is.
I just moved back to Cubase from Logic (after almost buying DP). It's great to have a decent sample editor and per clip effects.

I have to say that C4 is a great seq now, I have C4 for my PC rig...it runs better on PC than MAC, I also have Logic and C4 on my Mac Pro, they are both great....nothing touches them IMHO
...though DP is interesting for scoring etc.
Reaper dosen't do everything I want it do - although a very good program, I wouldn't use it with my clients etc...
Cheers.

Poor Mr. Cubase. How old was he? A broker? A jazz singer? A postmodernist professor who got 97? I heard they now would use his name to make a new sequencer. Name is CUBASE 5. Now that will make him famous. It even has a little dongle! Do you?
(okay, okay...)
