Hello,

i purchased Truepianos 1.4 after trying the demo. I compared it to a Steinway Model D patch/sample on my Motif ES 7 and i have to say that the sound quality of truepianos is outstanding.
I also tried the demo of Pianoteq but it sounds like a toy compared to Truepianos.
My favourite Piano at the moment is the Diamond model with the "Pop" or "Warm" patches. The Amber model is also nice.

Just want a shout THANKS Roel and company. Enjoying your new work and can't wait for version 2 to come out. Looks very promising. Roel we won't hold you to it, but any idea as a time frame for version 2. Two months, 6 months, etc......

He said if all goes as planned, it will be by the end of the year. But software is unpredictable, so maybe in the first quarter of next year(that would be my guess).

thanks for the update. I did never regret to buy TruePianos. It is a great piece of musical software. It inspires me and is very playable.
From your description I am really looking forward to V2.0.

Hi,

The plan is to get it ready for public usage 'this year'. We hardly ever have detailed deadlines and let the quality decide when it's good enough for release. So I won't comment any further on this. The first new things regarding v2.0 you guys will read/hear will probably be one or more demo MP3s (or a flash demo) which I'll post on KVR some time in the near future.

hi roel;

thanks for the 1.4 update; i like both the amber module and the reverb quite much! what you called "timbre morphing" really turns out to be very promising, looking forward for the full implementation in v2. hope there will also be more love for resonance!

to v 1.4:
what have been said above about some inconsistencies in velocity/hammer noise level etc. in the amber module is however true, especially in the upper octaves. and with a2, there is definitely something wrong, there is a very annoying metallic clang in this tone! would a little fix for this be possible?

sorry to be a prick and critizing; it's just meant in the sense of making a good product even better!

This new version sounds really good, and it still has all of the advantages over the huge libraries: it loads much faster and takes up much less space. Switching between the presets is fast, too. Congratulations. Really great work.

I think the latest realeased update of the Truepianos is a great achievement.
I agree with some of the commentators in this forum that the
Amber key "noise" articulations sound a bit unbalanced when you play the solo piano. But I have taken this as an effect: in the RECORDED CONTEXT (I'm
talking now about pop/jazz/rock -genre) you don't hear this inconsistency
but pay attention to the nice nyances which the Amber does.

TruePianos v1.4.0 released
