It's killed my desire to goto KVR very often anymore.
Entirely bored with the fanboyism for such an immature host. I guess the userbase can't help but follows suit

LOL this is sooo funny - traktion 1 or 2 was the hottest host around with regular updates and a one man coding team that listened to it's userbase and with a rate of development that was going to kill all the big hosts - and then it wasn't - then there was energy xt - and then there wasn't - and now reaper - wonder how long this one will be cool for ? seems better than all the previous contenders, but doesnt offer anything much over cubase/sonar/logic et alCWoodOne wrote:LOL, that's the funniest thing I've read in a long time. Tracktion is the worst coded, most bug ridden software in the history of DAWS. So bad I've heard Babya's moving on to Babya Tracktion.ChinaBitch wrote:Reaper is just a little project of wannabe programmers. Almost every day again an 'update' and still not stable. Rape the reaper go on for Tracktion! This is THE real deal.

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

I think it must be the same kind of people that like the Reaper more than a mature host, that think SynthEdit plugins are better than the commercial ones.

Reaper doesn't even have multi-part editing in the piano roll

It's OK - it is a good feeling when you decide to draw a line under something that isn't working for you and move onto something else. I understand your joytattiemannie wrote:What a cheery bunch! I was in such a good mood when I posted this topic

People, please stop embarrassing all of the folks that wasted so much money on Cubase, you're making them feel bad. Let's just quietly enjoy creating music with Reaper while the Cubase users grunt and poke Reaper with sticks...

For the most part this has been a good natured thread full of jokes and silly responses. Just carry on enjoying making music dude, whatever software you use ...tattiemannie wrote:What a cheery bunch! I was in such a good mood when I posted this topic

cubase would be a TOTAL waste for me, thats for sure...
but some people simply need the features it provides.

Ironically I've been looking at Cubase recently for the automation - I'm still rather frustrated by Reaper's but the latest significant improvements to midi editing are starting to inspire me to make more music with it so I'm still keeping several options open (the other is Podium which has the best automation of all but is otherwise a bit clunky to work with). The preset handling in the latest Cubase puts me off though - they have really dropped the ball there.jplanet wrote:People, please stop embarrassing all of the folks that wasted so much money on Cubase, you're making them feel bad. This is one reason why I can empathise with someone who has been able to draw the line and decode on "one true path" - I'm not there yet
(I still hold out some small hope they will fix Tracktion one day.)
