me too!

Bump to add JoBro Media source bundles.

Sorry, folks, I'm afraid wheedling is of no use. The method doesn't involve me except to turn the crank and call out names in order. I'm not really an active participant -- the people who tried y'all's plug-ins and voted are the ones who are really running this part of the show. :-}

I haven't heard from the donors of a few more prizes -- we have two Renoise licenses, a loop sample DVD (Acid or Apple format) from Perimeter Sound, and possibly another couple packs of loops. Soon as these last details are worked out the prize picking will commence. For now I'm going to place the first two items on the table tentatively and hope that's acceptable to the donors. In any case it will let y'all consider whether they're something you might want to pick.

Another bump to add Perimeter Sounds DVD loops compilation. One more item to clear and it'll be time to pick prizes.

Okay, I have nothing saying how his prize was to be awarded so I'm going to hope the donor of Renoise doesn't mind that I've put them on the table. Time to commence.

xoxos, because you've already received big bucks in cash, your pick will be delayed until after twelve other people have had their draws. Having won second place, mucoder will get a turn after eight others have taken their picks, and our third-place winner, ugo, will get to pick after four other participants have chosen from the pile. The top-ranked entrants are going to get the biggest portion of the goodies, as it should be in a competition, but there will be something for everybody.

As people's turns approach I will contact them via PM and/or email. I can't keep at this all day and all night, so there'll have to be breaks. If some other mod would like to take over the process while I'm unavailable, I'll be glad to send them my spreadsheets (OpenOffice format at present but I can export) with contact names and addresses.

The prize picking commences with the winners of fourth place in DC 2007,
de la Mancha and sinkmusic.

I had hoped to pull everything together in time for sink to choose a prize, but I couldn't and now he's having travel adventures. dlM, do you have a way to get in touch with sink? I'll look through my emails and PMs and see if I can find any indication of what he wanted.

[edit] I've PMed you a message he sent mentioning what he had and what you had and what each of you might want.

Thanks for your efforts on this, Meffy. :)

*bow* As always, pleased to be of service. Don't forget that it's Tuz who did 99% of the work though. I'm just playing ringmaster for that last one percent, one of the most fun bits -- connecting the generous outpouring of goods with one amazingly ingenious bunch of developer-musicians.

Post

wahoo!

Thanks Meffy for organising the great prize giveaway, and of course thanks to Tuz for organising the whole shabang, and Ben for supporting it :)
and all the lovely people who voted for truc, and also to Halle Berry for the inspiration in thankyou speeches ;)

So, with the prior permission of the vacationing sinkmusic, I'd like to pick Reaktor 5 as my prize :)

(sorry xoxos)

I shall do my bestest to add to the Reaktor community, just give me a little while to learn the damn thing

It's a wonderful prize, and I knew whoever chose it, it would be in good hands. I anticipate displays of genius... but not immediately, no, it's a very very deep piece of work. The original modular system was already incredible, with the addition of the lower-level core building blocks it's just jaw-dropping.

Okay, I'll update the list and the thread's' subject line. I've emailed the fifth place winner and second prize picker, Acrobat. It could be a while before we get a reply, for which my apologies. A weekday would've been better but I figured better to get things started than to wait for fine weather.

Post

it's okay, my interest in r5 is really vestigial. tbh if i did take it, it would probably be years before i'd use it. i'd just come back to remove my post :)
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

Wish I could say I'd made fully productive use of mine, but I'd be lying. I can't come close to the more decent creations in the User Library. If I could / when I can, you would / will be able to find my submissions in said library. Earlier this evening I mentioned to Millie that some time when I have a month to sit down and really learn it, give it the attention it deserves, I might get a proper handle on it.

Until then just the provided ensembles are a wonderful bunch, and with the UL to draw on too... as putte says, "wowow."

Job well done Meffy!..

I have my eye on something in particular but at 26th I'll be amazed if its still there by my turn... :hihi:

..however it seems that the KVR DC Challenge relay team has tripped over and dropped the baton already..
Ironic considering "Acrobat" is up...Thought he would have been a bit more light on his feet... :hihi:
Come on Acro!!

My fault entirely, I'm notifying winners a little more ahead of the curve now so they'll have some advance warning.

Yay! Thanks for choosing your prize. I'll make the arrangements and WilliamK will be contacting you.

Is there a post where Urs extended his offer? I missed it, late to the game I'm afraid. I've emailed him to be certain (not that I think you'd tell me wrong, I just have to double-check) but if he posted it here that will do fine.
