I'd like to have ZOOMING for shadows, independent from shape zoom.
I mean the ability to resize shadows independently from its shape, in SkinMan and also in KnobMan...
Cheers,
Andrea

as a workaround:Acrobat wrote:I'd like to have ZOOMING for shadows, independent from shape zoom.

just copy the shape, make it black, set it to your desired opacity. diffuse, and position and resize it to your liking ...
though, +1 for your request, that actually applies to knobman, too ...

to be exact, i think the parameter you need is not 'Size'. it may be a 'Fatness'? what do you think about?

well, imo both are important ... don't only think about the traditional use of shadow, it could be used way more subtle or different from just doing obvious shadowing ... i.e. in my previously posted gui that i made, i used the shadowing of the text not as obvious shadowing, but to make the text lables look more dirty ... this could be enhanced by adding both size and fatness ...g200kg wrote:hmmm...Acrobat wrote:I'd like to have ZOOMING for shadows, independent from shape zoom.

btw, while we're at it, another 2 requests:
- shadowing inside (not outside)
- shadow colouring, independent from the shape colour
i was using those in photoshop sucessfully to heavy extend ...
what do you mean, g200kg?

well, you askedg200kg wrote:let me know if there is urgent (or most important) issue of KnobMan.
maybe my todo queue of KnobMan has been reset
it's (still) not an issue, but if you could manage to modify the export option to make the output single (tga) images instead of a strip it would be a great help for me.
I tested tobybears gfxutils meanwhile, and they are (almost) great. no, they are great, but they lack conversion important for ME (yeah, my fault
I can export png from knobman and use toby's tool to unstitch it to single png files, with transparency still maintained. toby has another tool to convert tga to png with transparency also (which is the tool I would love to have a vice-versa function for). but since the (un)stitcher does not handle tga (which I need for my purposes) I end up converting every single image back to tga, or unstitching the strip manually.
I already asked toby if there is a possibility to alter his tools, but no reply so far.
if anyone knows a tool to either unstitch tga with transparency _or_ batch convert png to tga while keeping transparency intact, let me know. I tried the latter with PSP 8, but the converted tgas have a white background...

The cool thing is this "early alpha" is already
up, stable and running, spitting out nice pix!

Dude ... let me tell you something ....
Your work is simply AMAZING!
It lets UI/graphics/photoshop/coreldraw/paintbrush dumbasses like me create pretty usable graphics for our softwares GUIs!
Each day we depend less from graphic artists/developers ..... well ... it's not true but right now we can make decent and professional looking software GUIs by ourselves!
thank you!

g200kg, a feature request: like in knobman id like to be able to turn off antialiasing on every shape/text, could you do that? i need it badly for my fonts ...
thanks in advance!
oh, and another one:
thanks for the shadow inside ... but i need both at the same time, inside and conventional outside, also independantly adjustable ... could you do that?
btw, all my pixelfonts don't show up in skinman ...
what to do?

Currently, the SkinMan's rendering algo is not exactly same as KnobMan, because of border-line options and some other. that makes the pixelfonts handling hard. may takes a bit more (than 3minutes
) time to solve.
