Squids Tron Extras contains over 850 Mb of EXCLUSIVE downloadable extra Tron sounds such as Ampex full duration tube Trons, Toy Piano and Harmoniums (taken from Squids Tron Collection Volume 1) in SampleTank format!

This is a must have for Sampletron Owners that own SampleTank as it has the sounds from Squids Tron that were not included in Sampletron!



Huh. So this is for SAMPLETANK owners. The headline is decieving. How about extra sounds for Sampletron owners?

Note: If you also own SampleTron already then these are the same sounds that are in SampleTron. If you own SampleTron and don t own Squids Tron then you can also pick up those extra sounds separately.

If you have SampleTron and want more sounds, you want the Squids Tron Exclusive Extras.

SampleTron + Squids Tron Exclusive Extras = Squids Tron + SampleTron Exclusive Extras.

Squids Tron was a sound collection for SampleTank. SampleTron is a separate virtual instrument based on the SampleTank engine, but only plays sounds coded for it and can't load other SampleTank sounds (SampleTank can load SampleTron sounds though). SampleTron has some programming features geared towards these keyboards that SampleTank does not - namely the sustain knob to either have the sounds loop, or end at 8 seconds the way they do in real life.

I did proof-read it, I wrote it myself and it is about as clear as it can be considering it is a confusing concept in the first place.

Look, truth be told, someone at the office made a mistake creating the first product that was the SampleTron extra sounds that weren't in Squids Tron. They were supposed to make it the other way around for the group buy. Oh well. So now we've done the other way around but both are available... and separately.

So... you have a choice. If you own SampleTron and SampleTank (and SampleTank WAS given away in the last group buy... and this product was created specifically FOR the group buy) then the Squids Tron Extras are exactly what the title says. The extra sounds of Squids Tron that aren't in SampleTron... hence, completing your tron collection if you owned SampleTron... you get more. That was the point of it.

Now, for a limited time we have, because of the mistake, an opportunity for people who own Squids Tron (and obviously the own SampleTank because that's the only way to have Squids Tron working) they can buy JUST the sounds from SampleTron that they didn't have in Squids Tron.

Accommodating EVERYONE with an inexpensive solution.

However, because it is apparently so confusing this will only be offered THIS MONTH and come September both products will be gone and we'll be back to just SampleTron or Squids Tron full.

However, next month or two we are releasing the Tron sounds individually in other formats such as Kontakt, Reason etc.

You seem a bit stressed. So let me ask a clear question. I own Sampletron but do not own Sampletank and don't plan to own Sampletank. Are there extra sounds for Sampletron available for download on your site?

I'm not here at all to make trouble but to raise awareness that there is terribly confusing stuff on their site. I really like these guys and their products. I would imagine they would appreciate some constructive critisism rather than an ass kisser.

It is confusing because, going by the language on the website, it indicates that the extra sounds are targeted for SampleTank... but will they load into SampleTron also? That's the missing gap in our knowledge here... I'm ready to buy the extra sounds but can I use them directly in SampleTron? Or are they for SampleTank only? I guess it doesn't matter, for those who do own SampleTank (which I do), but if you only have SampleTron, you can't use the extra sounds.

No. Just the combi sounds we have for SampleTron which are patches. For the extra samples you'd have to use SampleTank (which can also read SampleTron sounds) because that is an open engine sample player and SampleTron is not (meaning it cannot currently be "expanded" with more samples). By the way, I was not stressed. Sorry if it soundeded that way.

Please don't provoke SometimesNothing. I believe he was just trying to be helpful by quoting what I said which is that if it isn't able to be understood from my explanation then the best thing probably is to contact Allen, esoundz support manager, so he can discuss it with individually so it is perfectly clear. However, if that was the confusion (whether the sounds could be played by SampleTron) then I think maybe I've cleared it up now.

Also, we don't mind if you guys point out any errors on the site or anything that could be clearer. We're always looking for ways to improve.
