yes, always cooking nasty things here in the labs
Since "NastyHF" still needs some time in the betatest (to get well-done cooked) I can't hesitate to announce the (imminent) arrival of some fresh addition: NASTYtableTop

"NASTYtableTop" features a unique fool-proof single knob design (with integrated VU).
I just won't tell you what it does atm
peace out,
bootsy

Ha ha ha! Nice!
Funny...that text in the lower corner reminds me of the (infamous) Ishan Limiter - coincidence or nod?

Hey Bootsie, as an FYI, BootEQ tends to crash Sonar quite frequently when I close projects. If you need additional info on that when you finally get around to updating it, let me know. It's a fanatastic EQ and worth every crash!

GUI is bit similar to cakewalsk "Boost 11" - doesn't it? Looks very nice!

Yeah, that was a funny guy. He charged about 300 dollars for a one-knob limiter and you couldn't even demo it. Hilarious.bduffy wrote:Funny...that text in the lower corner reminds me of the (infamous) Ishan Limiter - coincidence or nod?

Sorry: just being silly. It was a crap limiter, released about 4 years ago, by an insane racist scumbag, whose posts were so vile that you cannot (rightly) find any trace of him to this day. Needless to say, he was hilariously entertaining, and had NOTHING to do with your wonderful plug-ins! The font and one-knob design just reminded me of it, and some of the KVR "lifers" might remember. That's all.

The release of the whole package is now announced in the OP.
Some details about 'NastyHF' are unveiled as well as what that damn single knob of 'NASTYtableTop' acutally does
'NastyLF' will be updated then as well with some minor bug fixes, the Wavelab fix and cpu optimiziations.
Release will be end of august.
I'm really proud of 'NastyHF': As simple as it looks (concept wise) it features really fancy HF distortion with almost artefact free selected harmonics. It took me some month to get that right. So, this way many thanks to the beta testers for their patience, time and efforts!
peace,
bootsy

bootsie wrote:Howdy folks,
my already announced small new fx plug-in series entirely dedicated to signal coloring will be completed and released to the end of this month.
This series contains:
'NastyLF' - adding mojo to the lowend
'NastyLF' is a specific and tuned combination of lowend EQ and output stage.
The low frequency EQ in classic boost/cut design offers both: broad 'oldschool' as well as rather narrow 'modern' curves (switchable) altogether with a variation of that special sounding curve designs when using boost and cut in combination. A new developed output stage offers tasty lowend saturation which can virtually be driven up to 24dB with internal automatic gain compensation.
'NastyHF' - adding mojo to the highend
'NastyHF' is a specific and tuned combination of highend EQ (peak and shelve) and oversampled output stage.
The high frequency EQ offers both: broad 'old school' as well as rather narrow 'modern' curves (switchable). HF peaking is applied on fixed frequencies and the 10kHz filter performs as a shelve. Both designs feature special musical sounding curves.
A new developed and oversampled output stage offers tasty and almost artefact free HF saturation featuring prominently fancy K2 and K3 harmonics with attenuated higher harmonics.
'NASTYtableTop' - signal coloring made easy
'NASTYtableTop' is a low-mid frequency booster which increases perception in this frequency range by saturation. In subtle amounts this is perceived as a kind of 'phatness' while in extrem settings this is going to be perceived as 'muddy' and/or 'distorted'.
Requirements:
Windows XP, SSE support
Tested and known to work in many VST compatible hosts
It could be that this series will going to be extended in the future.
The already released 'NastyLF' plug-in can be downloaded here.
The whole package will be available here in end of august.
peace!
will that be as one plugin or 3 separate (or even better, both)
your work is great (looking & sound & CPU)
looking forward to adding to my Bootsy vst folder
