Surprised to see no mentions here of the Ogun public beta. This is a really interesting synth: an additive harmonic VSTi that makes some excellent bell, cymbal and gong sounds. Plus pads, wonky metal sounds, tin cans, etc. Pretty easy to program, although the results are not easy to predict. Which is half the fun.

I just downloaded it -- it's at Beta 3 and pretty stable in FL. Impressive! Ugly GUI, as ever, but definitely worth having, if they keep the pricing sane.

very interesting synth -- not for everybody, perhaps, an not for every task, but its certainly better than looking at yet another boring subtractive synth...

viva la difference!

So, all that aside, has anyone else had a 'ding' at it yet? I'm pretty impressed, but then I'm a sucker for novelties....
