Not as visceral as the Flower Travellin' Band stuff I posted earlier, but pretty cool, nonetheless.

Not music (but somehow tangentially related): Doug Hofstadter in Victim Of The Brain.
Quirky Dutch (but English spoken) interview with the author of Goedel Escher Bach interspersed with bits from The Mind's Eye (including one of Stanislav Lem's stories. W00t!).
Watch this, it's weird but good.
Groet, Erik

BTW, and it should be stickied/first post of the thread or even the title, adding &fmt=18 at the end of the youtube video code giges you stereo sound
as in mono
as in stereo
someone on some board wrote: As for HQ video, what I gathered is that they have at least three
different encoding processes once you upload video larger than 320x240
such as 480x360 or 640x480 etc with different bitrate allowances both
for audio and video for three versions and they encode this clip to:
1) Default 320x240 with 64kbps mono audio 2) 128kbps stereo audio with
&fmt=18 tag to view it. 3) HQ video with 128kbps mono audio with
&fmt=6 tag to view it. However, I have no clue what they're exactly
doing or playing with these new formats, all I can tell you is that
obviously they don't have professional audio engineer in their team or
company, probably they're all kids listening to hip-hop or dance music
day and night so that they don't realize how hard limiting is harmful
to real artistic natural audio expressions. Only thing I know is that
I can upload stereo audio clip using larger than 320x240 video clip if
I view it using &fmt=18 which worked so far up to around 512kbps total
bitrate, but audio quality was not as good as original clip though![]()

i've met this guy. do you have any idea how unbelievably tiny he is?
this is a tiny little man, on a stage, holding thousands of people in the palm of his hand with a harmonica, his voice and his presence.
something's wrong with this picture, however. it's an ocean of white people. i think that's a terrible shame.

Black Napkins. May-8-1988. Albert Wing on tenor extensively refers to Mike Brecker's 1976 solo... also probing flugel by Walt Fowler.
Great sound considering it's youtube.

This one is so much fun i'm in tears.
The film is part of a new Hydro campaign aimed at convincing young Norwegians that sciences are fun and exciting. The main message of the campaign, running from early June to the end of the month, is: "There are many young engineers out there. We can't wait to see them grow up."
