It's the fact that it's a games console. Astonishing. May i ask what you used as i have been thinking about getting one and this track is selling it to me as one heck of a music device to have in your pocket.

its a ds lite using the software "glitch ds" check the vids on you tube and google it for the site, its a free app for homebrew cards, highly recmended here
that was fed into a boss space echo, but no other sound sources where used and as i said its just a one off recording, no overdubs or post edit (cept maybe compression)
there are many other apps too for the ds, not to mention the upcoming korg

Being in Japan, I've already had a chance to check out the DS-10. (I borrowed it from a friend about a month ago) All I can say is don't get your hopes up too high. It's fun to mess around with but the novelty wears off fairly quick IMHO. Luckily both glitchDS and NitroTracker (and even Band Brothers DX to a lesser extent) still satisfy my need to make noise on the DS...vurt wrote:s4w2th wrote:It's gottta be a killer. edit: qualified statements so that I'm not presenting my opinion as fact...

Yeah i'm on the fence about ds10. Some say it is teh awesum but others say it's a bit of a toy. Same about the kaossilator but i like the idea of these miniature devices that you can carry around in your pocket and make music with anywhere, also good for plugging into other gear like fx units and making some noise like yourself.
