How is this going... I have another person potentially interested in the Stereo BeeBaa.

Post

I, too, am interested in details if any are to be had.

I wonder if the enclosure needed for the stereo BeeBaa would also be appropriate for the filterbank (it, too, could be stereo, or dual mono, or multi-out)? If so a potential 11 for the BeeBaa and several-but-I-don't-know-how-many-for-certain for the filterbank I'm sure could easily get you up to the necessary 25.

(crickets and tumbleweeds)
i had an original, unusable, sold it for less than 100$ just to not be stuck with it
You're nucking futs, dude. I love my vintage Blender, man..
what are you using it on
i tried to make it fun many times on guitar, never been able to make it good in my hear, but it' me, i like the fuzz 2 mode on my boss fz2 (and i never met anyone that agreed neither), so i'm not really the one to judge, i was just joking, but now i wish I had it to try on drums, might be pretty violent, but ill stick with my rat and sansamp)

Im interetsed in the MS20 filter - would it be possible to add some filter drive anywharere? Would it be similar to the Frostwave Resonator?

It looks like it's going fine for the BeeBaa and filter bank.

I'll look into that. :wink:

Yeah... looks like that's the way it's going and that's ok with me.

filter bank sounds really interesting, like my mfc 42 on stereoids :)

i guess it would be mono tho?

Canada? Sure. :tu:

I would be in for a slow gear (im on a mini guyatone slow grow pedal at the moment but i would be up for one anyhow) and also if possible a simple one band fully parametric EQ with a good range of like 50 Hz - 1000 Hz with no frills (for general use in an effects loop as i hate the bloody graphic EQs they flog us off with, and the only two i know of and bought and then sold is a doug wimbish signature box by yamaha but its not flexable enough and carl martins 3 band semi-parametric eq/pre-amp which is again not good enough to do the one simple job!).

This guy lives close to me and makes original and (also mods/repairs) some awesome pedals if any pedal junkie wants to check his site out and bookmark it or whatever:

http://www.owenelectronics.co.uk/1110/index.html

(not trying to pimp this guys site/products but it seems like a good place to spot it for stomp box nerds like myself)

So its +1 Slow Gear Nekro
and a possible +1 if you can do/have more interest in the simple parametric eq
idea

Nekro ;)

Yeah... looks like that's the way it's going and that's ok with me.
Once you have final specs and prices, I might be in for the filterbank then, too.

I know. I was just looking for ideas about what people want before I start working on stuff. I'm thinking around $45 each. Most simple effects would fall under this sort of scheme. In some cases parts are only $3-4 dollars. My cut is so small I didn't really think anyone would want to save $7 and build a kit or I would add a DIY option.

$ 9 Case
$ 3 Pots
$ 3 Knobs
$ 5 Switch
$ 5 PB Board
$10 Parts

= $35
+ $ 7 labor
-----
= $42
+ $ 5 Shipping
-----
= $47

Based on the slim response so far, it's possible that I should just build what I want and let the chips fall where they may as far a sharing the wealth goes.
Hi, TOm

I was away when you launched the group-buy, and i could be interested but i can't find any useful information on the first post nor on your linked blog : is there any webpage where we can have a description of each pedal or descriptive things like that ?

THank you
Cheers !

liqih wrote:my vote is for a delay with **Resonant HP/LP filter** on the feedback, there is no affordable such small hardware effect, I would pay 100 USD for that box,
digital delay should be more than 8 bit though and at least 12000 sampleRate,
delay time at least 4 seconds,

controls: dry out, wet out, time, feedback gain, filter type, Reso, CutOff,
possible? <grin>
I don't know. I think so. There is a 12bit 20 second chip, with lot's of options but I don't have the details handy. I'll look into it. The filter part should not be a problem but I don't know for sure because I never tried it.

BTW There are some BBD chips available so maybe I can do a flanger/chorus/analog delay too. I'll have to get some ICs ordered and see how the breadboarding works out.
A delay with HP/LP filters w resonance would be neat, indeed.
I like lofi (6-8bit delays) myself, and if you add some modulation on it, it could become a dream :)

Some nasty BucketBrigade-fueled modulation efx could also be very interesting... FLanger/chorus/analog delay sounds yum yum !

Tell me more :D

[edit]
I think i could get easily interested into something getting some inspiration from the Music And More racks : CF-1, Phaze2, RS3, and, of course, the Warp9 ;)

... And anything with CV in/out, like some Dynacord VRS racks... :love:
