Koblo Studio? New free host to watch?

Hi,

My soundcard (0202) does not work, can't figure out where to set my midi interfaces and vsts. Why are there no menus?

there is no midi support yet.
there is no VST support yet. There are a few proprietary effect plugins which install with the software.

As I state, this is a alpha build, so it doesn't implement everything yet. The point is to show what it's doing, and how it progresses.

As to no menus... there are manus (file/edit/view) in the OSX version, but not on windows yet. The rest of the configurations can be found by clicking the "I" button on the far right of the track mixing window.

I don't know what soundard an 0202 is - if you can tell me I'll troubleshoot it. I'd need to know what OS you're on, etc.

In looking over the screenshots, I'm thinking the Koblo folks might want to take a look at Ardour. Ardour has a subtle but effective twist on the traditional horizontal row of faders paradigm, in which the actual fader mechanism is overlayed on top of the fader meter indicator. This allows for a very slim, sleek design and is very comfortable to use. The Koblo faders look like they're each taking up more space than is really neccessary, but that's just a quick impression based on the screenshot.

Well, the faders take up as much room as your average mixing DAW.

I'd say to download and try it, if you want to see what it feels like.

Hey, by any chance, has anyone who's installed the most recent build on OS X found that they can't open the plugins that come with the koblo studio?

I'm wondering if when you click on the inserts section of a channel (by pressing the "i" button on a channel strip), if you get plugins you can open on the channel, or nothing.

If anyone's got input, I'd take it. Thanks.
