Thanks for the help Jimi I'll gives it a try. that wayback thing will be the death of me. Also It was great to get all the older plugs and still have them work on win98. I have to work with what I got. I know I'll make music and do art and make lots of money. Nobodys thought of that.

bernie it is the least i can do to help as you offer so much on your site mate, hell if you have any trouble at all in obtaining a copy then i would be happy to post a copy of CM and Covermount DVD for free to you over in france: And i mean that. You are too kind, man... Thank you very much, but it is not worth the trouble, you know... It is so easy to purchase one issue on the CM site...

That right there is why Computer Music is the Best Computer Music based Magazine there is. What other Magazine comes with that much Great Software not to mention the 2,000+ Awesome Samples you get every Month! I think the CM DVD is up to like 10GB now. 8)

for sure, i mean how much would you say all that software and samples are worth? (even if the sample content does not always suit your needs or useful to you its still good to be able pickout the odd few which you think you will use!)
I would not like to take a guess ;)

If I were to take a guess I would say about $400+ easy. You can't really put a price on it though because you can't sell it and it's not for sale. It just happens to come with the Magazine. I'm just basing my Estimate Price by comparing the individual Elements that make up the CM DVD with other Commercial Software of the same quality. You have to remember that a lot of the CM Plugins not all are cut down or old versions of Commercial Plugins. For Example WusikCM is really just the full version of WusikStation v1.0. Then on the other hand you have plugins that have no commercial equivalent at all like Dominator VSTi which was made exclusively for CM. If ZebraCM was not part of the CM Studio and was to be sold as a Commercial Plugin it could easily sell for $50-$75. Zebra2 costs $200 so I figure that ZebraCM is at least worth a quarter or that easy. As far as the Samples go if you were to buy a Sample CD with 2,000+ Samples it would cost you somewhere between $80-$100 depending on what it is and who it's made by. The Time+Space, Zero-G and Big Fish Audio stuff tends to cost a little bit more. I really think that the CM Sample Creators the Groove Criminals and Cyclick are Top Notch Sample Producers. I have compared a lot of their stuff to Commercial Sample CDs that I have bought in the Past and they just blow them away Quality and Materialwise. I'm talking Time+Space and Big Fish Audio stuff here not some Shit Samples that you buy at some Electronic Music store for $1.99 or something cheap like that. Even know one of the Best FX Sample CDs that I have found only costed like $3.99. I'm sure almost everyone has or has heard of the Sound FX Sample CD called 2,000 Sound Effects by Snap! If you don't have it go buy it you won't be disappointed that's for sure. 8) The Cover Looks like this.

I do not own Zebra and was unaware of the full version's price (Not surprised at all though as i dont recall reading any bad words about it), i was more thinking out loud than actually asking what its worth ;)
I am not a big synth user myself so maybe thats why i do not appreciate it as much as i should! Dominator is good one for starting out as its GUI is so simple but because its also a monster if needs be it can be a bit CPU heavy and that is probably worth the price alone. The Camel Audio CMFuzz & Image-Line CM Waveshaper are probably the ones which i use the most. Have not had time to have a go at the new CMplay sampler (by Muon i think?) but that one looks like a very good sampler for £0.00/$0.00. I do hope they continue the Kontakt Instrument format as well as CMplay format patches in the samples included each month. Anyway shall quit rattling on BFunKu mate coz burnie is sorted and im gonna appreciate it a little bit more than i do from now on

Take care & take it easy

Dean

Edit: think i have that Disc you mentioned buried by time & dust somewhere. So it will be in my (bloated) sample Library and agreed on the one man sampling machine that is Cyclick and the Groove Criminals (Like the fact that they both sound so different even when working on a set based on the same 'theme'. Those guys could make an absolute fortune going full on commercial IMO. Drum Styles 7 for either CM or FM is one of the best One Shots of Drum/Cymbal/Percussion Sets i have and i have quite a bit (needs a tidy up big time!) but the Drum Styles 7 Shots come only second to Beta Monkey Music/Drumwerks Sample Sets i have as i am a big time metal head through and through \m/ but every themed set usually i find use for bits here and their no matter the style i am working in. I am getting lazy so i think i am going to subscribe so i get it through the post

Please people, don't consider these crappy synths to be emulations of soviet hardware. These aren't even close to the real thing. Just for us vstholics :D

I would hardly call Syncaine TM-200X and Polyvoks Station Crappy. They are actually very decent Synths. 8)
