I posted in the Receptor forum but I'd thought I would try here as well. I'm having trouble with using the Receptor patch system to access the sounds within Rhino. I can start Rhino fine and use its GUI on Receptor (connected to a computer of course or monitor). It works fine in that sense but if I try to import Rhino banks or presets into Receptor so that they are part of the Receptor patch structure and can be brought up from the front panel it won't work right. The banks will be imported and everything looks ok but when you play you realize something is wrong. Somehow the sounds are combined with whatever sound is chosen within Rhino at the time. Some parameters are changed but things like the oscillator settings are not. So you get a strange hybrid. Yes I'm using the Receptor dll version of Rhino. I even find if I bring a sound up in Rhino then try to save it out to a bank within Receptor the same problem happens which is really strange. Even stranger if I copy the receptor-imported patches that did not work in Receptor out and load them in Rhino on my computer they seem ok. Anyone have an idea what might be going on? Has anyone else used Rhino with Receptor and found bringing up presets using Receptor presets works ok?

Ok I can change presets within a bank by patch change from a midi keyboard. That bypasses the Receptor patch system and changes directly at Rhino. Will Rhino respond to a bank change command as well? I have not been able to get this to work yet.

No it will not respond to bank changes, since this is typically managed by the host.
