That is a statement i agree with, they impart themselves just right on signals processed where others go to far. I reckon the market for a Nasty ResoFilter/ Distortion/Bitcrusher/Manglers is oversaturated (as they are ten a penny) where as your stuff is most certainly not. I mean i will use Shy as an example (in a very good way of course), now i reckon that Shy is pretty particular about what he uses from reading some of his posts (i hope i am right mate and not got you all wrong!) and well he is obviously loving them as are Koolkeys, Optomadic and loads more whom i imagine are also pretty particular also when it comes to selecting their tools (also guys meant in the best possible way): hence your dealing out some nasty ass ear candyOptomadic wrote:NEVER! I dont think you inteded for these to be manglers right and some might think they should totally wreck the sound. In that aspect the name can be deceiving. To me they are more 'nasty colorers' and are PERFECT in every way IMO.bootsie wrote:I utterly failed

thanx Bootsie!bootsie wrote:There is a minor update 1.0.1 ready to download. It just contains cpu savings for NastyHF due to some further and tricky SSE optimizations. Saves around 30% cpu depending on your cpu/board.
is the dl link same as for 1.0 version, by the way?
Peace

Howdy,
just a more official teaser and announcement of the next "nasty" bootsy thingy coming around the corner (He is actually feeling really dirty right now for doing so many nasty things, but - for the sake of his soul - someone in this thread stated already clearly that this thangs aren't nasty at all and so he just continues straight forward):
Bootsy is going to release "NastyVSD" in this September.
Concept:
"NastyVSD" was originally intendend to only act as a kind of "virtual summing device" to feature some of the effects while going outboard (out of the DAW) and receiving a summed stereo mix back into the DAW.
When doing this, "safety limiting" or even AD clipping is performed, so this is included in this emulation as well.
When driven hard (aka abused), this could be used for maximising purposes as well
Some (preliminary) spec:
- Featuring 4x Oversampling at reasonable CPU
- Takes full advantage of SSE2 and Assembler optimizations
- Subtle Depth/Imaging improvements ...
- ... up to "analog style" limiting and maximising
PC/VST only.
No beta! This device will just appear suddenly out of this universe somehow due to the inadvertently activated LHC super collider by some unaware scientists. If they are not unaware, bootsy will do for them. Fo shizzle.
Warning/Disclaimer: maybe this device supercollides your mixes if applied unwarily.
Dunno, but in my sig there is a supercoooolided preview.
stay tuned,
bootsy

We're not worthy!
Always looking forward to Bootsie stuff, and feeling a little guilty for just getting this for free.

Thanx for your Plugs Bootsie !!!
I use them very often nowdays to give my sounds the final touch!
(even when the gui is not appearing in my more loaded projects (SM?) )
one question to the nastyHF update : is the ver 1.01 diferent to 1.00 (soundwise) or can in just exchange them (same Question to the old Tesla update)
Boom

The NastyHF and the TesslaSE1.2 update(coming from 1.1) are both safe. Coming from Tessla1.0 is output volume wise not safe.Grooveman wrote: one question to the nastyHF update : is the ver 1.01 diferent to 1.00 (soundwise) or can in just exchange them (same Question to the old Tesla update)
