Wow,im goin to buy it nowdnekm wrote:TDM-Nightmares is now for sale....
For people who have never bought any of the Anomaly Volumes before, the price is $30.
For anyone who has bought any of the Anomaly Volumes, a crossgrade email went out earlier tonight. If you did not get this email but are interested, please let me know.
If HG adds a wav seq for samples and vocal phrases I will come up with something for that as well...I have no idea what at the moment, but I will do my best to make it unique.....
In the future I will try to do a preset bank for this as well.....
All of the audio demos were made by substituting the soundsets in the already made presets. I want to take some time and explore this with the Anomaly sounds.....
The Dreammachine - new preview video - soon update !

Thanks...
I already have an idea for the new wav seq... I just at the moment do not know how it will work or not.... This will take some time....

I have just bought the Dreammachine and WoF, after a week or so of using the demos. They are both amazing programs! I have been going to sleep all week with TDM playing softly.
Much as I love these two, I do have a couple requests for HG Fortune. I'll put them here where I think he will see them. I hate Yahoo groups, where the official HGF forum is located.
1) I'd like to be able to get better sound quality. Rapture, Z3ta+ and the other Cakewalk/rgc synths, and Tassman have spoiled me. The sounds that come with TDM and WoF are alright, but is there a way to get better quality?
2) I've tried converting some sfz files to sf2, but it's not a simple task. I've tried some of my SF2 files, and they work, but I need to work on them too, to get the correct amount of instruments (100) in each file. I'd happily buy some well done banks from HGF or any third party producer. (I'll check out Anomaly soon...).
3) My dearest request to HGF would be to produce a VSTi with all the logic, algorithms and features of TDM and WoF, but with full MIDI out (mapping) ability. I'd love to use a new HGF front-end to power my other softsynths for live performances!
This is no way a knock on TDM and WoF. Anybody who likes long-form evolving synth music will be very happy with these programs. I'm glad I discovered them!

first, sorry for being a bit late on this post but I've been utterly busy to get the Oneshot/Vocal phrase wave seq into the Dreammachine with most of the time assembling a 100 wave sf2 file. More on that later as there is more news.
Only Daniel and Jonathan Gibson have done wave and soundsets so far.
As of my side I try to keep filesize as resasonable (i.e. small) as possible and a lot of people do like just this kind of sound.

well, as the system is open for 3rd party sounddesigners to do wavesets this could be provided. And, Daniel of Westgatesounds has done a great waveset for the Dreammachine by now. To be honest, there have been others at times promising to do this or that but in the end nothing did happendburns wrote: 1) I'd like to be able to get better sound quality. This has been - among others - one reason to go for 100 waves in each sf2 'only' as it is not that easy to fill up a file with even 100 appropriate waveforms. In fact the Bottom/Bass part does not really need so much variation as of a lot more files but with the other two parts this is worth doing.dburns wrote: 2) I've tried converting some sfz files to sf2, but it's not a simple task. Well, there is already a very rough basic project in that direction ... but this will take time to do due to it's complexity and I'll have to take a breath in between too.dburns wrote: 3) My dearest request to HGF would be to produce a VSTi with all the logic, algorithms and features of TDM and WoF, but with full MIDI out (mapping) ability. Now to the news:
Around weekend there should be an update available (of course free to users who have registered already!) comprising the requested oneshot / vocal phrase wave sequencer accompanied by a special sf2 file with vocal phrases, some gongs, bells, and spacey oneshot stuff.
Thanks to jeyC for repetively pointing to this. Ok, who can resist if a woman asks
And it is really a great addition!
Also there have been some hidden bugs fixed:
Simply to name the major one which was not really that apparent as it did affect only certain types of sf2 files which did not work at all with the popup wave selectors. In order to have the best compability I had to sacrifice these neat popup selectors at the wave name display and did replace these by dropdown selectors which work just fine.
There has been request for single out of each part separately (=Multi Out) which can be done but probably in sacrificing the level attentuator switch below the main volume slider and the level meters too. So in future you have to use that slider a bit more carefully.
Stay tuned

Hey HG,Im really not into the multi midi out,id rather keep mine the way it is.id rather play live to the TDM,verses letting it play all my synths,,,no offence to anybody that would want all midi out,but i think what you have done with the TDM speaks for itself, its a stand alone background player,,,maybe in future VSTs you could make all midi, but for this i think its just fine,,,,,just my input if you will....and i have picked up the Nitemare soundset for TDM...very cool sounding, and adds more options for sound,,,,,,,,,,

this multi out feature is obviuosly not related to MIDI but to audio outputs which come in quite handy at times. I think there will/should be an option to switch between multi and normal stereo out.

independent outputs for the layers would be great, but I recommend a separate .dll for the multi-out version, so as not to compromise the output level control when being used in single out only.

I bought the Westgate TDM-Anomaly soundset, and it sounds great!
This is a very exciting project. Thanks for creating and continuing to improve TDM, Mr. Fortune!

The new file is about 1/3 of the way done....
I will have more details about it soon.....
