Thanks and right it's not a strummer per se, but if you program strummed MIDI chords Open Guitar will play it nicely, <grin>

the PDF manual is not ready yet, currently I'm working on the Nylon sound and to improve other things, more MIDI file patterns to bundle with it as well.

No worries, as you say the MIDI keyboard allows you those open chords as well,

you can still load detuned strings but you will have a strange layout on the keyboard.

BTW updates are free until 1.9 of Open Guitar

It is not a strummer, that's probably my fault since I mispoke that earlier... I don't know why, I never thought it was a strummer.

But there's a unique way to score the midi that makes it sound like it's being strummed :)

I really like it and it's actually a bit better than I'd dared hope.
I was playing around with FL's strummer last night. It can get some pretty good results, but for me it takes a lot of trial and error using its knobs. I wish there were more straightforward settings on it. If there are pre-made piano roll strum examples or .mid/.flp examples, that might make it easier for starting points with standard/custom strums.

Would it be difficult to include capability of loading soundfonts?
I just got a bunch of .sf2 files (notes) that I'd like to load.
Or, is it easy to convert .sf2 to .wav?

those are the same midi file, rendered first with Open Guitar Steel + Ableton Reverb
and then with Open Guitar Strat + Ableton EQ Compressor Reverb and Aradaz Amp Sim.
(Rendering Open Guitar is just like recording a real guitar)

so far the formula is in my mind, but I 'd really like one day to code a sequencer to allow easy strum programming, the FL Studio tool is something but results are too simple IMHO

Strumming in FL ain't that hard.

You do have to go in and individually edit the notes of the strum, but with the right VSTi it sounds damned good.
