Well I was a bit tired for all that teasing without a word about the real thing and now all that info...
After reading carefully all the info I only can say a word: WOOW!!
It seems to be a giant step from Cameleon, something I was waiting for very long. Seems very very promising, count me in.

As soon as I saw Robert Rich's name involved, I decided I will buy Alchemy. The other people involved are no slouches either! (Tim C., I'm a recovering Atari addict!).
I'm glad Alchemy isn't ready yet. Omnisphere is going to hurt, at least until I get it installed!

I can't get the video to play either. I am on Safari 3.2. I tried the original link at beginning of the thread...
There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres. Pythagoras

I must admit, this synth looks extremely tempting. Any idea what the price will be?
Oh, and incidentally- back in the Mac OS Classic days, the leading sample editor was called Alchemy. No longer in production, so I'm sure you're safe.

Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Never mind, I didn't notice the price info on the left side of the page. $249 isn't bad at all. This is going to be fun!deastman wrote:Any idea what the price will be?

Even more impressive than I thought it might be. C'grats again, Ben. Fantastic crossgrade prices!
Personally, I think this is a bit of a no-brainer for anyone already with C5000..
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Lovely. Looks like a potential Absynth killer, too.
Two hopes:
1) Nice, simple copy protection that'll let me install it on more than 1 machine (I work on 3 machines at 3 different sites, but never simultanously).
2) With Cameleon, you created a user-friendly, simple interface. If this doesn't overwhelm me with multi-point envelopes for every tiny, picayune parameter change then you have my money, day 1.
As I said - really nice. It's so great to see something to be genuinely excited about.
