This *kind of* thing is already covered by step-LFO and MSEGs, so I think such a feature would be overkill.

Try matching a step lfo to run in sync with the arp mod...

not for me :-)

that was why I was asking to use arpmod in the first place... somewhat obscure need I do realize.

One thing I would like to see is a way to do "constant rate" portamento, like a minimoog. The current "constant time" type of portamento works well for polyphonic type sounds, but is not as good for monophonic sounds where you want to get some "Emerson" thing happening.
I'm surprised that so few synths offer this type of portamento. This would definately be an improvement for lead type sounds.

I love the gate knob on the arp on my Z1

Add-on: a switch to assign one of the Arp Mods to Gate values (like in the VAZ sequencers)

Phase Distortion oscillator modules! Combining this with Zebra's multi-point envelopes would allow for some very good Casio CZ synth emulations.

I would like to have portamento, seperately for each sound module.
Please?
:)

I could see that being one godawful noise with FM...

But cool for a couple of different standard OSCS.

Yes but god awful noises put through the right filter settings can sound pretty cool sometimes. Then again the FM mod doesn't have any space for another knob. The OSC mod and comb mod do have enouph space to fit one more.
The free Mac only synth called Automat has the portamento for each OSC, and it was effective.

Perhaps you could add a couple "Key Modifier" mod sources.

So when you choose a modulation source, you could choose normal note (which doesn't generate a modulation source module) and modified note (which creates a new mod. source module). The modified note module could have independent slew times for upwards and downwards operation, perhaps there could be an option for different scales (chromatic, minor, major, so on), options for mono and poly modes, and key priority (last note, highest note, add notes, etc). Might be kinda cool. :)

I think it would be very good, if Zebra has 4 osc FX instead of 2.
