Allot has been sampled from old records, and here and there Glitch VST.

Not sure, but i have tested and played these instruments and samples, and they sound very close. Lot of compression and production tricks are also needed to make it just right.

any one has more knowledge of what they use?

Nice job.
You can also try this:

DRUMS:
BD: Boss DR series or Akai XR series
SD: TR-505+some Snappy SD (eg: 808 MFB 512 or cheetah)
CH/OH: MFB 512 through distortion

For the whole drum bus use CLASS with maximum loudness for the SD

BASS:
1 Trilogy with slap bass preset
1 Trilogy with any moog/arp like preset through distortion

KEY:
Ticky Clav through distortion

PIANO:
you choose

STRINGS & MORE:
Big Fish Audio Disco De Luxe

FX (not samples)
Effectrix / Glitch / Beatlookup / Automaton / and a lot more for one sub group
TLS 2095 for SD
Sidechain compressor for Kick to any other sound except SD
CLASS for BD & SD
Devastor or Ohmicide for distortion
2 reverbs: One with Hipass filter for global mixing & one with Lowpass for the SD
Bitreducer for Basses and sequence: 12 bit audio
Waveshaper for additional dirty sound
Phaser and Stereo Enhancer for bits of vocals

This is the basic setup....Of course you can replace all effects and samples with something similar that you''l like...

Garageband and Cubase mostly according to some interviews I've read.

Also JFK from MSTRKRFT says the Ed Banger guys do a lot of short edits by bouncing the tracks down in whatever they're using then chopping up and rearranging the slices, not sure they use plugins to do that - you can probably get similar results from the various glitch plugins around the place or Live's Beat Repeat if you have the patience so whatever works really.

Lots of heavy compression, you can either make the kick louder than everything else and then put a compressor on the master buss to slam everything, or use sidechain compression techniques to duck everything else. Depends what sound you're going for but the first one's most likely what Justice does.

They are actually just following the Daft Punk legacy. Ed Banger Records is the little section of French house music that is really following Daft Punks crazy style of electronic music.

I came in here thinking Justice meant Metallica's "And Justice For All". Boy did I get that wrong

My fault really because I think that kick sound really came of age on "Black" not "Justice"

Ed Banger Records is owned by Pedro Winter.

Pedro Winter managed Daft Punk from 1996 - 2008.

The similarities in music between Justice and Daft Punk are no a coincidence!

I bet there were some interesting workshops held by the daft punk crew.

This still doesnt answer the CLASS question though!!

Imo their sound is quite shitty. They've really overdone it with the "dirt" in their tracks, and the mixing is rather bad at all.
