Street level presentation + 1
Overhyped cheesy delivery - me no like

(I must say I was disappointed you didn't send your narration through the instance you were demoing ... that would have been 'awesome dude' ...... actually I was just joking but now I really mean it LOL!)

Its election year in the US... somebody should mangle a couple speeches through the device in a remix. Make it a bi-partisan effort.

This is a great, compact, organic effect regardless of how the videos come across. Let it go.

The "Big and Phatt Companies" should learn how to keep there advertising budgets under control. There's alot of nice audio software that was/is priced way over affordable along pain in the neck dongles etc.

I've been producing the sort of promo videos (among other, more worthy projects) that KBKB is referring to since 1988. From concept to delivery, through scripting, production, and recording.

Chris's videos are a breath of fresh air. Why? Because this is the guy who designed the product, and he's explaining and going through the features in exactly the same way as if I was sitting down beside him at the computer.

Priceless. You can't script that.

Kind regards.

Hey Chris, so... what's Part 3 of the demonstration video going to cover?

I re-watched Parts 1 and 2 before bed last night and I'm kind of giddy to see what else you may uncover and inform us on.

Hopefully it will be done with the raw enthusiasm not unlike a Monster Truck Rally commercial announcer (Sundayyy, Sundayyyy, Sunnnndayyyyyyy!!!!) on crack.

Ha, that would be really funny If he did that (in a non-sarcastic way). I quote that "Sundayyy, Sundayy,..." thing from time to time in conversation. It's a little nostalgic to me.

Or unlike for example "This product is so revolutionary it will change your work flow, it will be there for you when creativity strikes, let your ideas become your dreams, this is the end-all-be-all of audio products, you will never have to think or be creative again, because this product will do it all for you..." (swooshy sweep noises and bleeps with godlike enthusiastic infomercial tone to the narrators voice with occasional bass booms and flashy graphics)"

These videos are quite informative on how your doing them with your products. I'd like to see more. They are not boring at all, and I do have bad ADD. Just like something I would want to see on a product I know nothing about, given your non-demo policy. Other companies should take note.

I expect the big developers will read this thread, think they understand what the target demographic actually likes, and then decide instead of making their usual big budget cheesy, super slick demo/promo videos to start making big budget super fake 'homemade feel' demo/ promo videos with actors playing the role of developer/'reluctant narrator' reading a meticulously scripted part in a sort of grotesque homage to .. I don't know, say ...... Lars Von Trier, Woody Allen and Stephen Wright .....

Still really enjoying getting into this plug BTW. :)

OK, gotta share this one: I bought Automaton yesterday and I was playing with it when an old-school guitarist mate of mine called in. After listening for a few moments, he shook his head and said:

"Jeez, Dave, you gotta get some new cables, man."

Kind regards.

Tonight I brought my laptop into the Lone Spur Grill (ew knows the one) and showed off Automaton to a pal of mine. He was enthralled. He was really proud to have scripted a bit of life and enjoyed the output.

At one point a waitress walked over to ask if we were playing a video game. When I explained that I was sequencing life algo's and effecting the signal, her little mind was just a bit blown.

As luck would have it, I was trawling through KVR's plug-in database this morning and I came across this:
