Nasty-CS seems to be exactly what I want... I can't seem to follow it's workings. Maybe I have been awake too long, but the settings do not seem that clear...
Is the excitation of HF done with the Drive knob, or is it set with the first series of knobs first?

I know it does what I desire, but really need to understand it better, or have the interface labelled better...

Just a small comment.. Thanks again Bootsie, your stuff is fantastic :)

the vsd imparts a 'filling' sensation to the audio when used in a subtle manner
-very nice!

Thats really easy: EQing is done in the section to the left of the "VU" meter.
Dynamic control (saturation, limiting, overall volume) is done to the right of the meter.
So, if you are into HF exciting like in "NastyHF" you first should increase the HF SHELF and then (if ever needed) dial in some SAT in the output section (right side to the VU).

You have to think a little bit different here when using the CS device (as opposed to the individual plug-ins): The concepts of the individual plug-ins are here a little bit streamlined to fit to work very well together but on the other hand the saturation is handled more comprising (and that is done in the end of the signal processing in the output stage which is 4x oversampled).

If you ever need more precise control, just choose a combination of the individual plug-ins (or refer to other stuff of course and combine or replace it).

To me, the CS thing is a real killer (at least I'm using this all over). Someone over here beat me to finally build this (I think somebody's "Evil Twin" is guilty in this case) and I'm glad he did that. Therefore a very special credit to this guy!!

Will these work at high sample rates? 88.2 for example?

Bootsie said earlier that these will not be limited to 44.1 like BootEQ, so yes.

Nice! NastyCS is the highpoint of them all, a real keeper and "go-to" plugin, i'm sure i'll be using this all over the place.

Many thanks!

Bootsie, you are ABSOLUTELY insane. Geez man... I turn around and a ridiculously amazing device comes out your sleeve... I would actually ask you to stop, but please, DON'T!! :D

Big thank you, Bootsie, for the release pack.

NastyCS
is indeed a damn fine plugin, simple and efficient with a great GUI.

If i understand correctly, the low band knob is fixed freq, and you can both boost/cut that frequency range : could you tell at which freq is it tuned ?

And btw, a bit OT : could you tell what are the changes in REscue from v1.1 to 1.2 ?

Thank you !
