What are the restrictions of the Slicex VSTi demo? It seems to be fully working in Cubase, saving it's settings, etc.

Maybe a time limit?

Post

It does save its settings here.

Does it say "Trial version" in the hint bar?

Post

Nope, it doesn't say anything. Funny thing is, I checked my registration code from Image Line and it includes a line for Slicex but I don't recall buying it (I'm sure of it).

On the other hand, I downloaded the Directwave demo, and it also doesn't say "demo version" on the title bar.

Are you sure you're not using the FL version of Slicex? It's not a demo if used in FL Producer or XXL.

As for DirectWave, it no longer has a real demo. The demo mode is now called "player mode", and it just has limited functionality, but can save.

I'm not talking about the FL version, I'm talking about the VSTi version and I open it in Cubase.

Do you know what the restrictions are of the demo version?

Post

I never use the demo VSTi version but mine does say trial version and does not save the settings. You must have purchased it. I think the demo limitations are that you can't save the presets .. There is nothing that specifically documents them though..
