Professional eh? What was it, 69 sales? Less than minimum wage I'd have thought. Nice try though. No wonder to see you mouthing off again. You and AD are obviously members of the same league.
Too bad the potty mouth police weren't around in Oct 2005.
XHip--Please finish your synth!!

I'm not discussing sales numbers in public. Suffice to say they're disappointing, and yes, WAY less than minimum wage. (Product reviews and actual usage numbers are stellar though.)nuffink wrote: Professional eh? What was it, 69 sales? Less than minimum wage I'd have thought. Nice try though. Anyway, I made the "professional" comment long before starting Poly-Ana and even SCAMP or Naive LPF. And, like a professional (should), I ended up producing EXACTLY what I set out to. Extra funny to be accused of being a dabbler in THIS thead.

See, the noteworthy difference is: when was the last time anyone saw AD, crude in manner as he is, truck a shedload of whinge into a thread about your synth?

That's looking really good. Awesome.Branis wrote:This is probably a bad timing due to all the bad mouthing going on, but what the heck.
Is there a coder that likes this GUI and would like to implement it?
All controls are on one page (all are included), there's even one extra control for changing the background colour (I hope that's possible).

Do I really need to dig that up? Cuz it's happened several times.robenestobenz wrote:See, the noteworthy difference is: when was the last time anyone saw AD, crude in manner as he is, truck a shedload of whinge into a thread about your synth?
But most of his whinge, fallacies, and flat out lies about my synth have been made right here in this thread (some of which may have been removed by Meffy's editing of history). This is how he reacts, I make a constructive criticism of his product and he replies with an attack on mine and/or me.
This isn't "his" thread anyway. It's the osiris', who back on Dec 20, 2006 wondered if this "product" was ever going to be complete.
Now for the last few pages we've been scolded by the developer for not completing it ourselves.

errrr... errrrr... I'm glad Xhip is doing well
.
The Proto 1 GUI [was that the name?] is freaking awesome! Between the default GUI and that one, I'd choose Proto even though I can't say I don't like the default one. I simply got used to it

Cheers!

it certainly is possible. it's just a matter of implementation. yes, i could help to implement this if you really feel that you can't do it yourself, but it may be better if i can get you started on the process of implementation and get all the difficult code written and then let you get everything in the right position. if you read back quite a few pages you can see where i outlined what would need to be done.
that sort of knob is already implemented so it should be very little effort at all.
switches like you use (the red 'light') and the selection of waveform (text + bitmap + highlight) are easily implemented with no changes to the existing code - in other words you can just create those immediately and i don't need to do anything other than show you how.
due to the turmoil mike is causing in this thread right now we might want to discuss on irc/msn/etc or via emails. could use private messages here on kvr also, but it would be much quicker having a real-time discussion.
the only thing which is a problem is that i'm sort of getting into doing gsoto's layout now which might take a couple days. i could certainly put it aside to get you started if you wanted to put the coordinates in but if i need to do that it might need to wait until after i get gsoto's basic older design out and functional.

i don't see the advantage of that at this point. it might be useful if i had my own forum to moderate where i could kill off individuals like aq immediately once he started to fill the thread with junk, but otherwise xhip is just passing another step on one of those huge buddhist stairways. we're getting close to the temple door i agree, but patience is a virtue, let's wait until we arrive.Xhip has reached a new stage,
time for a new thread AD?

neither, its a public thread on a forum owned by kvr, it is they who decide what is or isnt on topic in a thread, if i was on the team id remove your posts immediately as irrelevant. thus allowing it to continue without all this turgid shite, seemingly you agree with the phrase "all publicity is good publicity" as the only time i ever hear your synth mentioned is in this thread, when you wade in and start acting like a spoiled child who no one is paying attention to.AdmiralQuality wrote: This isn't "his" thread anyway. make a synth as good as xhip(even in its half finished state) and people will give you attention, while not getting the idea youre a troublemaker and nothing more.

Again, AD brought Poly-Ana into this. Not me. Not my fault if my product just happens to be complete in every way his isn't. (And, do you need a superior product to earn the right to post? If so, what are the rest of you doing posting in here? You're obviously not worthy!vurt wrote:neither, its a public thread on a forum owned by kvr, it is they who decide what is or isnt on topic in a thread, if i was on the team id remove your posts immediately as irrelevant. thus allowing it to continue without all this turgid shite, seemingly you agree with the phrase "all publicity is good publicity" as the only time i ever hear your synth mentioned is in this thread, when you wade in and start acting like a spoiled child who no one is paying attention to.AdmiralQuality wrote: This isn't "his" thread anyway. vurt, after the ten or so times he has done this i'm just having fun with the little guy. it's definitely a real annoyance that he is getting in the way of valuable discussion (even if i hate gui discussion) but we shouldn't get stressed over it. i mean, the most frustrating thing would be if he really did get himself good publicity via these means, but the fact is he only looks like a fool. i'll just poke him a little until he whimpers out and leaves the thread and we should let everyone judge for themselves.
unless somebody with real powers gets here to help us out. in that case, by all means.
