It would appear that 'Omnisphere' has ripped a hole in the space time continuum and the KVR forum finds itself in an alternative dimension where reality no longer exists as we know it.....

As with all of Eric and crew's creations, I'm sure that Omni is amazing, for any musical application.
The demo track posted here ? It sucks, plain and simple. If I were Eric, I wouldn't endorse this track as a "demo" for Omnisphere. If it were, it wouldn't inspire me to buy Omnisphere.
Those of you who like the "demo" track - you're WAY too easily impressed. I had a feeling this forum had mostly hobbyists...
Congrats, Eric ; I'm happy to see you're having huge success with your genius...

Now that you see the light, it's time for you to move along to the "Pro" forum.JPTinAshland wrote:

Comments like this usually come from 34 year old single dudes living in their mom's basement.
PS: by the way Tobias Marberger (composer for this song) has game, movie and commercial credits as a composer and sound designer.

Hey JPT, you're a punk!
Tobias has more talent in one pinky than you've had your whole life! Rude Boy rocks and you're just jealous. Oh, and Eric's shadow is more engaging to look at than your kind of post. Go and kick sand elsewhere, as you're just embarrassing yourself here.

Absolutely superb track... I'm really impressed that all the drums are from Omni, also. I've just installed it today and scratched the surface, mostly just browsing presets and doing a tiny bit of synthesis so far. I have a feeling I'm going to be saying "wow!" every 10 seconds of use for the next few years.

One thing that really impresses me with OmniSphere is the level of stupidity it seems to attract. The comments in this thread is surely a new low.
A synth with a really complex "engine" coupled with a 40 gig sample library.
One demo.
Reactions ?
"Is that all it can do? I'm not impressed.I'm not spending any money on it"
Truly mindblowing stuff.
Really.

Yes Ned... I just checked my pinky, and you're absolutely right - I'm jealous. Of Rude Boy, and of you. You're so amazing, I hope to grow up one day and be just like you. What a talent you are.
Thank you for inspiring me to be JUST LIKE YOU. I cannot wait.
I appreciate the opportunity to express my opinion here, in this unbiased, open-minded and progressive forum. It's great to know that my opinion, like everyone else's, will be welcomed regardless of it's content.
I cannot wait to become the talent that Ned and Rude Boy are today. I'm watching the clock, wishing that the minutes would go faster so that I can become the talents that Ned and Rude Boy are.
Thank you for giving me my purpose - all of you.

Sure, one doesn't have to like the genre/style the demo song delivers. At the huge thread on the Instruments forum, someone posted a youtube link to a rehashed song using only Omnisphere. (Again different style).JPTinAshland wrote:Yes Ned... I just checked my pinky, and you're absolutely right - I'm jealous. Of Rude Boy, and of you. What would you prefer as a 'quality' demonstration of a product of such possibilities

JTP, you've been listening to too much Soldier Boy or something. The demo song is called Rude Boy, not the artist! His name is Tobias Marberger.

Hey Ned, don't waste anymore energy on this guy.Ned Bouhalassa wrote:JTP, you've been listening to too much Soldier Boy or something. The demo song is called Rude Boy, not the artist! His name is Tobias Marberger.
He doesn't know there is a difference in having an opinion with constructive feedback and just being an arrogant s.o.b..
