Hey thanks. Btw is there a list somewhere of all the old Spectrasonics stuff included in Omnisphere? I remember spectrum posting it in one of the huge threads but damned if I could find it in a million years.

Bizarre GTR (without the phrases but with more content than the original)

maybe i overlooked something but i think that should be it.

thanks for you answer.
The Spec. site says to give them up to 48 hours for processing the order. That time has already passed. No answer from Eric or the team, no tracking number, no replies to any of my 3 emails to them.
On the other hand, the Visa company said that my account has already been billed.
What's happening at Spectrasonics? Why is customer care so lacking?
In the past Eric apologized for not answering an email since they had a problem with the emails (that's what he said) but what's the excuse now?
This really bothers me.

This really bothers me.

My experience with them has been that they have indeed had some problems with e-mails (the headers on some of my e-mails confirmed that) so your best bet is to PM Eric here on KVR if you couldn't reach him through normal channels. Hopefully any issues they've been having will be sorted out soon as I haven't seen anything to suggest that they take such things lightly. In the meantime, I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Btw, could you check your "Temp" folder and post a) the number of files and b) the size of the folder?

Can one jam CPU usage with Omnisphere? Oh heck yeah. I've done it several times. Thought I should step in and say thanks for the nice words and answer some of the questions.

I used 2 instances and some help from a third to make this track.

Since i've been involved in the creating of some of the core sounds I wanted to explore the synth part just for my own pleassure. I was blown away by what this synth can do without the samples and I can assure you all who haven't had the pleassure to play around with it yet that the full potential of this beast has yet not been explored.

The vocals I used are from Vocal Planet and I believe the chants are available in heart of africa as well.. not sure though, Eric can verify if that is the case. The vocals were not affected by Omnisphere in any case.

The sidechain effect is just a simple volume automation of the master output of one of the Omnisphere instanses made in Cubase. Think reversed sawtooth with a pretty steep dip on every downbeat. Should be doable with any desent sequenser.

Oh, and where's all the hate coming from? We're here because we all share the same interest. Let's be constructive and make some music instead of wasting energy on anger.

Hm. You're here to sell an instrument. I'm listening to your track from the point of view of it being a demo of an instrument I may buy at some point. That's not at all the same interest.

And since I'm contemplating spending a lot of money on your instrument, I should be free to say that this demo is not what I was hoping to hear.

Nothing remotely like anger involved, just my hope that someone will post demos of what this instrument supposedly excels at.

Dude, it's not my instrument. I'm just a freelance guy who worked on a tiny part of the core sample developing. FYI, I make my living as a composer and I've been lurking around here since 2003... I noticed a couple of questions about the track and I thought it would be a good idea to answer them.. since I made the track.

You're of course free to think and say what ever you want. I was more refering to earlier posts about Omnisphere and Spectrasonics. Scrutinize what's being said on the forums is all good but I have to say that some of the posts here are a bit conspiratorial (nope, not gonna dig through posts and look for examples).

Out of curiousity, what kind of demo do you wanna hear?

Dude, your demo was posted by mr Spectrum himself. If you'd posted it I would have taken at as a cool user demo. Coming through official channels my reaction was "nice, but not what I was waiting for".

What I was waiting for is a demo of how you can tweak the basic samples into something completely different, preferably functional. I get it that OS has a bunch of very interesting samples. Are they a matter of "take it or leave it"? I suspect not, but I'd like to see something of the sound scaping possibilities.
