Hi I can't install syncrosoft, I got error messages all the way. Guess it has something to do with Vista...

PADS 01-16:
Unloading all pads with (x) doesn't work. The kitname is now "unloaded" but the pads are still filled.

LOOP:

There is a copy/paste function missing for the parameters (fx, filter, ...) to copy it from one pad to another!!!!!!!!!!!! - just the parameters - not the slice!!
In the pads-section all parameters and the samples are copied to the other pad - that's correct.

But overall RMV is GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please Peter - get the bugs / change requests fixed and it will rock on top notch!

2)LOOP:

The group function doesn't work. I've applied two slices to group 1. Altering a parameter from the first slice doesn't affect the other.

Have you used right mouse button (instead of left one) to edit parameters ?
When groups are set up, right mouse button is used to adjust parameter for the whole group, and with the left one you are still able to edit single slice/pad.
Seems to work fine here... for both pads and loops

It was coming from my anti-virus, it's fixed now.
Btw, where should I install the kits and grooves?

Hi Peter.

I bought and installed RMV (tonight, 9/25) and ...

1- I had to redownload the drum lib install exe, during the first run it had an error at the VERY end. I apologize for not writing it down - but it seemed to be one of the samples. After re-downloading, it installed ok.
(Yes, I know it could have been on my end, but I'm not sure it was).

2- After installing, and authorizing (which was clunky but went ok), I loaded up Sonar 7 (my default host) on my dual-core system. Trying to load presets, didn't work. So again, I re-installed (using same download). This time it tried to load samples from "E:\simsalabin\..." which was NOT the folder I chose to put the drum lib and loop libs in. I did choose "E:\RMV ..." however. So that was strange. After reinstalling, again, it worked right.
So that was weird too.

3- Lastly - for now Some of the presets are, well, not that well done IMHO. For example, on many of the presets, the levels are wildly different. And, even on things such as the Toms, the G is much lower than the A or B notes. I almost felt like many of the presets were rushed rather than carefully worked out. I don't mean to be critical, so I hope you take this constructively.

There were other issues, which I'll try to report back on when I have more time. Unfortunately, much of my time was used up tonight getting RMV to just work right

And, regardless of any bugs/problems, I still appreciate the effort and know that you will continue to update the product. So thanks for your efforts.

loading times of rmv are even worse than of battery 3!!
i'm used to long loading times of battery but rmv is almost double.
e.g.
1) start a new projekt in cubase 4.5
2) open one instance of rmv
3) save the projekt
4) reopen the project .... wait.... wait... wait... wait....
i took my stopwatch and it's almost 1 (one) minute to load that project.

the overall response of this plugin seems to be delayed... every button i press needs somehow more time that i'm used from other plugs.
i really like your plugins, but this one needs some doping

i'm shure that you will solve the problems....

Well, its working as it helps to save memory (that is , all samples are unloaded), but still the pads are not initialized or something, I agree this could be done better.

Will see why we didnt do this right away ... makes sense for sure.

I wish I would know where it comes from. I tried the same here, guess what: 5 seconds to load such a song (Dual Core @ 2.4 GHz). Loading Cubase itself in comarison takes about 15 seconds). What kit did you had loaded ? Any loops ?

i have to check the kit when i'm back from work...
i think it was the standard kit that is loaded after installation.
ther where no loops loaded.

i will try to figure out if it hase something to do with the size of the kit...

Hi!

My Summary:

1)LOOP - problem with one slice:--> Peter checks it!

2)LOOP - group editing:--> works with right-click > no error

3)LOOP - selecting several slices:--> Peter checks it!

4)LOOP - I would need to reset all parameters (to start new) at once not only one parameter with right-click CTRL:--> still open

5)PADS - Unloading:--> I'll check it tonight again, but the samples were still loaded!!!!

6)LOOP - copy/paste:--> Peter checks it!

NEW:

7)RMV - Cubase 4.5.2 WINXP: After disabling the RMV (VSTi-Rack) enabling lasts very long, approx. 5 seconds:--> this is not right!

I'm using FL Studio 8 at the moment and here are a few thing I found:

1. Send 2 output destination does not work proper

2. When I browse parameters there is no list like in RM IV and ECS menu does not pop up...

It goes on:

ad 5) O.K. Samples are gone! But a complete reset of all the parameters would be nice!!

ad 7) I meant not to disable the plugin but to switch on the GUI with the right button (e). Sorry my fault. This lasts too long. E.g. NI Reaktor 5 or Kontakt 3 open at the moment when clicking on the button (no delay).

NEW:

8)LOOP: When Pads are grouped enabling/disabling the FX-section by right-clicking doesn't affect all pads. E. g. filter works well!!

9)LOOP: when a whole loop is played back and I click on a slice to select it it's also played back --> It's disturbing and confusing. single-slice-playback when selecting only when the loop isn't running.

10)LOOP: RMV-PLAY/STOP-Button. By pressing stop it doesn't promptly stop sometimes (it seems that the slice is played to the endpoint when the playback is stopped at any point). When I have one slice ....

11)Samplebrowsers: Would be great to step through the samples with the cursors (up/down) and the sound/sample is instantly played back.


It looks like I became a beta-tester, but RM_V is powerful. So it's no problem for me and a pleasure to help to find the bugs.
