Hey Y'all.

Does anyone know the answer to the following quandry.

I am on dial up and have three out of the 6 packs stop. Now for some reason I can't download them again. They just sit there doing nothing. It's as if media fire already knows I've downloaded and won't let me do it again.

can anyone tell me what I can do?

mmm weird thing DW..
is there a chance that the browser somehow filed the half donwloads in a temporary folder to eventually resume them?
asking that since im almost sure mediafire links shouldnt be able to resume (although im not 100 % sure about that)
anyone else downloaded one of the 2 bunch of 7zip files and can confirm everything went fine?

Peace

Hi Dreaddd...

Muchos thanks for putting the files up, but Im having issues getting either the '06 or '08 versions of 7zip to unpack the files...hmmm. Any ideas? I possibly just havent had enough coffee today...!

First, many many thanks to Dreddd for posting these files. Big ups, mate!

Second, has anyone else had problems extracting these files? When I downloaded them, using IE, my system wanted to save them as file types .001, .002, .003 etc. respectively. I tried it that way, WinRAR wouldn't open them. So I re-downloaded them, this time telling Windows to save them as "all file types" and manually adding a .RAR extension to the end. WinRAR still shows no love, says the file is damaged or corrupted.

I'm using the most current WinRAR, as far as I know. Am I just missing something vital in trying to extract this thing?

EDIT: I finally googled the ZIP app that Dreddd mentioned, and realized it has its own proprietary format. After downloading and installing 7zip, the archive worked perfectly.

props for the sampling and chopping work!

Hi
I am late to the party : massive thanks to everyone who sampled and gathered and uploaded these packs !

However, i have downloaded all the .7z archives, i have 7zip on my computer, and i can't manage to unzip them.
I read it is wavpack, i have wavpack frontend, and it doesn't work either...
I have read the last 4 pages of the thread and could not find any "howto" or any hint to unpack the archives... Sorry if it has been requested/answered many times... But could anyone lead me to a solution ?

Thanks again, Loachm and Dreadddd !

Success! I just re-installed 7zip, and as long as you use the "Extract as "/*" option on the 7zip menu ,it unpacks fine.

Cheers again for the beats folks!

I got the same problem. Delete all the cookies for Mediafire and it should work fine again...atleast for me.

hope everyone sorted out
sorry for the 7zip multiple files, but i used that at workplace and i thought "why not? any 7zip install should be able to sort it out"
as far as i can see older versions may have problems on unarchiving the stuff , so eventually just update the version

Peace out

Thanks loachm and dreadd!

If you have trouble unzipping, check if all files have the correct filesize(all but last one must be 99mb, last one 84.09).
part two came in too small two times for me.
clear cache and download again.

It may be that, then : part5 is reported being 39.7mo and pt1 81.5mo.

Got 7zip and downloaded the packs. Wow, this is an absolute goldmine. Much thanks to LoachM and dreaddd.

For those having trouble unzipping, (some of) these (and other) breakbeats are at http://www.rhythm-lab.com/breakbeats They are in wav and rex format, but you have to download each individually.

Edit: after downloading the LoachM breakbeats and comparing them to Rhythm-Lab, they are actually not the same at all. The Rhythm-lab breakbeats include some, but not all of the LoachM beats in dreadd's pack.

Ok, I downloaded the Rhythm-Lab breakbeats and they are quite good, like LoachM's, they focus well on beats that loop easily.

Rhythm Lab also has a link for more beats from "Doubleclick". Doubleclick's files are more extensive, but not so focused on straight up loops. Plenty of good stuff though, loops, brass hits, vocals, funky bass, guitar, etc., if you have the time to go through it all.

I'm on firefox using "DownThemAll!".
With this little addon you can download all specified files on a site by one click. Just set the file filter to rx2 and downthemall will download all rex files in one folder.
