sounds interesting,i like it.. dont know how the hell to get the 'text files' aspect working tho!??

Post

I'm with you, I have no idea how to modify the text file or even if it sounds that great in japanese.
But I'd love to play with and english version! :)

Post

Try to create a txt file (notepad) and drag and drop it on the vsti.
It worked for me :D

Post

I just tried it by creating a text file in Wordpad and saving it as a .txt file. I used a Japanese word spelled out phonetically. Try, "arigato," which means thanks. There are four syllables in that word so each syllable will be assigned to a note. You can play four notes to sound out the word. The elocution leaves a lot to be desired. Sort of a toy.

it sounds nice in a glitch ambiant setting tho (through audiodamage's discord)

Does anyone else get this static interference noise?

It works very well. Unfortunately due to the nature of the Japanese language, when importing text files for it to 'sing' from, there must be no spaces between words. (Otherwise it just goes back to the beginning of the line...as some may have noticed)

This seriously reminds me of the Yamaha SG vocal synth thing made only for Japanese users. Only not restricted to stage changes via MIDI which is at best, impractical. (This is much more powerful and it's free!)

Now if there only was a VSTi that used the Willow Pond Notetalk or Lernout and Hauspie voices with lyrics being played at this manner... (anyone remember that spyware desktop monkey, BonziBUDDY? That thing used L&H and could sing a melody.)

thanks for the tip! :)

Dang this thing is really nice. Try these texts in Aquestone:

Code: Select all

maayahimaayahumaayahomaayahaha
hapibadetuyuhapibadetuyuhapibadehapibadehapibadetuyu
yahabibiyalea
(guess what the second one is)

This might give people an idea for those unfamilliar with Japanese phonetics.

Not too bad but needs some further development. Initial attack of some is harsh but the sustain sound, sounds nice.Tried doubling it up with slightly different melodies and preset-pretty cool.In FL the buffer thing needs to be set,but had some trouble with two loaded.Maybe copy and rename for loading two instances?

Post

Code: Select all

yuhefafakinbigupinesu
aihefafakinsumorudiku
yuarafakinkantu
mazafakinshitufaku
ofakuaishitumipansu
And yes it can curse too! :D

With a bit of timing skills or good sequencing notation, you could get this thing to mask the vowel.

Hi from France ! I'm not a technician in computer music just an amateur and i make music just for my pleasure . I'm not really new on KVR , since a while i'm registered but often i only read the posts ; rarely ( or never ) i've written one , ... i guess ... I use Orion 7.5 from Synapse audio ! I've used Aquestone easily in Orion but after have thought it would not useful to me , i've deleted the dll . But now i would like to use it again . So , i've downloaded again this vst but i can't open it now ; Orion crashes after a weird noise like a kind of larsen noise ! Could you please give me some help i would like to try again this amazing vst ! Thanks !

I've asked for this on synapse forum but no help .

Hope to post on the right place and hope you'll understand my English !
Tubular Tos , it was me ! Now called The Path ! :)

I wish there was a direct download link somewhere. Checked their site, no luck.
