thanks a lot.

a little issue:

if Font AA x 8 is used, when tweaking the knobs, the knob movements are not smooth anymore. theyre steppy. not really important though...since x 4 works ok.

Well, the graphic antialias code is far away from being fast. It's only a simple implementation to show how it basically works. If it wouldn't be only a demonstration for the open source project I'd take optimized functions, but on the other hand this is free and the source code is available for anyone to optimize.

PS: Sorry for the font color/size not working, I made that in a rush.

Christian,

Would you consider making a plugin that adds wet/dry function to any vst plugin. I have some compressor plugins I like but wish I could do parallel compression within the plugin.

Thanks!

Really cool. Thanks a lot!

this is ubber cool...i dont know why it doesnt get more attention...newspapers should be talking about this in the front page. its the ultimate solution for GUIless plugs.

my issue: if i adjust the knobs it shows the values, but if i close the gui and reopen it, the values of the knobs are not shown anymore (till i tweak them again). this makes it very hard to perceive what are the current settings (making it unusable to me)

REALLY hope someone picks up the code and improves it in the future.

Hm, do you run out of CPU power if you doouble that track and mix them one dry, one wet with your desired ratio?

But of course, it would be neat for more than one wet/dry-mix at once...

This is very nice thing , i did some test and could you change the way it loads custom png file ? Left the knob for now but let us load one big png file so we could do our own picture of gui , and maybe add some feature to be able to set how many rows and columns merged vst would have, this would let us to make very own backgrounds instead of one single colour, knob picture doesnt bother that much ,is simple ,but gui is what we all would like to have customizable i think , we could even draw our own names under or over the knobs ,so disabling names of the knobs would be good too. What do you think ?

It's open source, so you're free to contribute those features by yourself. I mean I can do that, but so far I made this as an example for the project. It is not a product or so (there is no anouncement or so other than here at KVR). It's probably just a demonstration of what is possible.

The problem with custom GUIs so far is, that a better GUI tool would be necessary, then right now. I'm just placing the knobs side by side to each other. This is pretty simple for me. Everything else would mean a higher language necessary. Also the knobs do not support transparency yet. This means you wouldn't be able to look through the knob's to see the background behind the knobs - only outside the knobs rectangles.

There already exist tools like mGUI that can do what you wish for (and more). Unfortunatly that tool misses the possibility to save as VST right now. I already contacted the developer and he is probably currently working on a new version that takes advantage of what I demonstrated here.

However, if you prefer my idea of merging plugins to create new plugins with more customized GUIs you should consider a donation.

Kind regards,

Christian

Hi, I apologize for bumping a very old thread, but I'm really interested in using this, I've tried it, but it doesn't work at all for me. It creates the new merged plugin, but the applications I've tried it in; it doesn't recognize in Sound Forge, crashes Adobe Audition, works in MiniHost, but the GUI is just blank, can't turn knobs or anything, but you can play the sound and see that it is active....Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'd love a response thanks.

Umm okay, wasn't aware. I've used plenty of old software and they've worked fine, people in the thread claim it works fine for them, but doesn't work for me. Is there anything similar to this? That can merge vst plugins?
