Ok, so I recently had a huge crash, lost some stuff and some other stuff got screwed up. My most important files are still there thankfully and I did backup alot of stuff, but alot of things are just messed up. For example, some of my synthedit projects that I open wont load certain graphic files that are in different locations...etc. It's just alot of headache that I dont wanna fight with anymore and I think this is a good opportunity to move on to somthing different.
I know the recent Cerebrum 4 update had some problems and I just dont have enough time in the day to figure any of it out. I'd love to improve all the instruments in the Neurosynth Pack, but my day job is just taking up all of my time. Therefore, I think it would only be right to discontinue the pack.
The freeware would still be available and I might even do some updates in the future, but not anytime soon. I might even release a couple of the older Neurosyths as freeware.
I'll leave the pack available for a few days, but then it'll be gone, never to return.
I really want to get back into making music again, it's somthing I havent done since I started making plugins. I think that's the avenue I really want to take, and the only way to do that is to stop developing.
Maybe I just need to get away from it for awhile, I may release something in the future, but as of now, everything up to this point is history.

You know best what you need to do, where to go. I hope your new avenue leads you eventually back to developing, but wherever it goes be sure to keep dropping in at KVR.

I think the morally right thing to do,given the circumstances, is to give away all your synths/fx for free. Just think of all the children starving in Africa..., then put your vst up for free. It's the right thing to do. Thanks, and may God bless you my son!

I think Jack still owns all his work so maybe let him decide what he does with them.paxophobe wrote:I think the morally right thing to do,given the circumstances, is to give away all your synths/fx for free. Your work was good. I know how you feel as developing knocked the stuffing out of me after a few years and along with that went the music making. I am also making music for while - not abandoning SSP - to get my center back.
Best of luck Jack

hey Jack
i wanted to thank for your VSTwize efforts so far!
sad about the PM brand production freezing, but all the best for your future musical efforts
damn! lets support the small devs before they disappear one by one! first Hercs then PM
hope that it doesnt become a trend!
im glad anyway i had bought the Neuropack in the last launch offer, your stuff is great, even the drum-related ones that i barely use, although i must admit im more keen on your synths
Peace out

Thanks for all the kind words everyone
Making plugins has been fun, but it's about time to break away from the technical and tedious, and start having fun with sound again.
I'm sure I'll be hanging out in the forums from time to time, I'll probably post some tunes in the cafe every now and then. So I'm not really going anywhere, just the plugins.
I will release a couple of the smaller Neurosynths as freeware, but the rest will remain strictly for those who have supported Psychic Modulation all these years. A special thanks to you

Aethereal is still one of my fav synths. I hope to hear it in one of your soon to be posted tunes.
Much respect and best of luck with your future projects.

technical+tedious != fun??Jack R wrote: Making plugins has been fun, but it's about time to break away from the technical and tedious, and start having fun with sound again.
45 minutes from now you'll be putting something very quick together with a default gui for that one sound/process/sequence effect you want..
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.
