A chorus like in old stringmachines (Solina, Farfisa) ?

I tried several chorus plugins already, but they all sound the same - one delay line modulated by an lfo.
In the old string machines there was a special chorus giving that lush sound; 2 LFOs with different speed modulating (with shifted phases) 3 BBD delaylines .

Anyone knows a chorus plugin which sounds like that?

The UAD Roland CE-1 has that sound. GForce's Virtual String Machine sounds gorgeous through it.

Thanks. Vintage Keyboard FX might do the job, but that price is too high just for this.

I tried a little in Synthedit and I think I can make my own; here is a first example (now stereo) - dry first, then wet:

Hey, WOk, nice sound indeed. Is it a wet/dry sample ? If so, you're close to nailing it ;)

The TAL-uno (I think that's the one) is one of my current favs. It's based on the chorus in the Roland Juno synths. Very lush.

I don't know what is Oligarch Chorus design, but it sounds (and looks) good.

Audio Damage makes a couple of chorus plugins... not bad!

if you want bthe real string modulator sound, just using a bbd ensemble chorus isn't going to nail it. you need octave divided osc's, to have the voices in absolute perfect phase sync when playing chords, in particular octaves, 5ths and 7ths ... otherwise there's some nasty phase cancelling going on, totally ruining the ensemble chorus fx ... if you don't have that, it's not going to work ...

shortcircuit 2 have nice chorus imo without phase canceling problems and good results.I can be wrong but chorus must be onboard to sound really good, like detune.

I am going on with my own development in Synthedit.
Here is the last example in stereo:

(Dry first, then wet, dry at the end)
I think it's pretty close already. Now I have to do some details like switches for slow/fast/both.
How big is the interest on a release of that plug? 8)

So...know any like that?

Well, I am going for the chorus only. The MP3 is made with a single sawtooth from my Novation KS5. Any cheap plugin will do also - an octave devider is delivering nothing but perfectly synced waveforms. Most plugins don't have the "analogue" variations when pressing different keys, that make real analog synths sound so analog. So with a zero detune, they will give that simple sound of stringmachines with the chorus switched off.
