Had to make another fix to the M300A and M300B samples:

in the future, how about sharps?

i'd like to use these but i have better things to do than hand map each key.
practically nothing automaps flats and the samples don't have pitch information.

;-(

EDIT: doh! i see you have .nki and .sfz files. that helps.

??? I use Halion 3 and the WAV files import and map fine. Since I've never tried another sampler, I don't know their import personalities.

Yeah: Halion 3 figures it out, but those jerks at Steinberg don't include an export command and nothing reads Halion 3 (many read Halion 2 --shrug). Further, Halion 3 doesn't seem to be able to embed pitch/note value information into the wave files

It's really stupid since the code is trivial, but most samplers get confused by the flats -- i.e., they'll see Ab1 == B1.

Anyway, between the SFZ and NKI files, that covers most bases. I prefer to distribute samples in EXS format since it seems to have the most universal support from both samplers and conversion programs like Translator and CDXtract.

I got your 'trons going fine in Kontakt 2 -- swapping in the Pro-53 or Phased filter makes the strings and choirs really dreamy ;-) For J-lew, we often layered the trons with MOTU SI or Miroslav Phil strings.

Thanks!

Actually, I'm glad you brought this subject up because I've gone back to my earlier Tron samples (MkII 3 Violins, MkII Combined Brass) and noticed that these samples have sharps in the file names. I don't know why I changed to flats when I started sampling my newer tapes. At some point I will start changing the flats to sharps just to keep things consistent and to make things easier for people using the WAV files in non-Halion samplers.

And thanks for the link. Will download when i get home from work. :D

I have updated Taijiguy's Tron-samples for WusikStation (32-bit and 16-bit)

Also the mirror downloads for SFZ have been updated ...
