Yep, right, the Mac beta is finally also available for download where it is indicated in your license mail.

Still downloading the sample and loop libraries.
Installed the instrument - both vst and AU. Licensing appeared to go correctly - it confirmed downloaded the license and confirmed it was installed.
Attempted to load it in Logic Pro 8, Garage Band, Digital Performer 6.0.1. The AU does not show up for any of them. It also does not show in Logic's AU Manager. I did confirm the the component is in the proper directory. I even moved the RMIV component out to see if there was a conflict - no effect.
I do not have any other hosts to try it in.

Thank you for reporting this, seems AU is not working on PowerPC at all due to last minute bug.

Hi,
i tried the beta on logic8 and on a intel Mac.. Everything works fine so far except the following stuff...
1.) if i end RM5 it sayed that it can't save the log file... I got the same error when i installed the first time the Library on a other folder as the installer wanted...
2.) as i sayed, i tried to install the Library (Loops and Drumkits) in a folder i wanted because i have all the LinPlug stuff in a own folder, RM5 started the first time with a lot of errors ofcourse... After setting the new folder for Loops, Drumkits etc. the errors where gone but i never saw a single Loop or Drumkit in the File browser. I installed booth Librarys again and installed them on the folder the installer wanted and the Drumkit, Pad and Midi File browser is working now, the Drumloop Folder not...
If i try to load a loop by my own it works ofcourse, preview button is working, too.. very fine feature...
3.) i have some grafix bugs which were not the problem at all. I will make a photo of the screen with the gfx bugs...
4.) i have the feel that RM5 is not working 100percent on my machine, i feel that my machine is getting slower, a little bit...

Hi,
Managed to get the Drum Library and the instrument downloaded and installed... I keep getting thrown off of the loop library download about halfway through (trying again now), I don't know whether there's a size cap from my ISP or what but it's a little annoying... one suggestion would be to chop the loop library into two halves? Is there anyway to resume the download from where it left off? (I'm in Safari right now).

the first time I got several 'could not save sample config files' error messages. I also got that when I went into the AU Management option in Logic Prefs.
I just had a couple of missing samples messages around the DH Jungle 1/2 patches.
Kits are loading up fine, most of them instantly. The larger ones take a little bit longer but only in the way that you notice the lag. Haven't found anything else untoward yet.
I'll keep playing and looking around... hopefully will be able to get it up in Live 7 too.
Footnote 1:
Managed to get the Loop Library downloaded and installed. On reloading Logic again and calling up an instance of RMV I got the spinning beachball of doom for at least 2-5 minutes a shot before I lost patience and force quit. The same happened in Live 7 and when I tried to rescan RMV in Logic's AU window.
I finally found some patience and left RMV beachballing in Logic... after a round of 'sample missing, do you want the same dialog box for others' error messages (which incidentally still appeared whether I said yes or no) and another 5 minutes of waiting the beachball stopped and I could see the blue RMV box in the instrument track... still had to click to open but it opened. I'm guessing this is the amount of time RMV needed to first scan the Loops... as when the Loops folder would remove RMV would load fine.
Am still getting the 'sample config files' message when starting/quitting both Logic and LIve.
Footnote 2: Whilst using the Loop Search function I found that any fields I filled in disappeared from view after I hit enter or moved to another one, this meant I could not refine my searches and confirm visually. ie: 120 in bpm field, 4 in bars field etc).
Think I need to really start reading the manual too.

Playing some more...
1. RMV and Logic crash when new Effects are initiated (changed and switched on) on any of Effect Sends (Tried all slots in 1, first slot in 2 follows this behaviour). This is on the First Kit.

Hi...
I'm using The RMV 5.00b1 in Digital Performer 5.13, on a Macbook-Pro (intel) 2.16ghz, OSX10.4.11.
The RMV doesn't seem to be recieving MIDI on my system.
If i try to trigger it with a controller i get nothing.
If i create a midi track and put a drum midi-file on it and press play i get nothing.
The only way i can get sound out of RMV is by clicking the RMV pad with my mouse pointer!
I've tryed the same setup on the RM-IV and it works fine and with all other instruments. So the problem seems specific to the RMV.
I dont think ive missed anything obvious.

... Did you try altering the Pads midi channel in the setup page? It defaults to Midi channel 10... I got caught out by this first time around as Logic Instrument channels default on channel 1.timagekvr wrote:Hi...

I installed RMV and the libraries fine on my Mac. It an old Mac Mini G4 (1.42GHz) with 1GB of RAM. I run Tracktion 2 & 3 as well as Cubase LE4 on it and use it for recording with a Mackie Spike and a Line 6 TonePort UX1.
When I run either Tracktions or Cubase I get an error that the REX library could not be loaded, then an exception occurs in the RMV module and the host crashes.
Is this the same PowerPC bug mentioned before? Is my system below the minimum requirements. I've had no problems running things on it before.
