This is the one i'm personally waiting for. It is teh awesome. LimeFlavour's GUI sure looks tasty and all but i prefer this one.

i think that was better, but looks really simiar to this so this wil be fine too.

He's very busy as i understand it. Which GUI was that 'cause the one i saw from him was nowhere near anything i've ever seen before.Rottweiler wrote:and what happened to the gsoto gui?

every gui will get done in time. the problem is that there is only one of me - if somebody else wanted to do the work that would be great and all the tools/sources required are already available.

the gsto is more stylish...better layout...and especially more original....but in its current state its too small and fiddly to use for me. (everythin needs to be +15% size).Rottweiler wrote:and what happened to the gsoto gui?

so my vote go for branis gui first...cos its just perfect as it is and usable NOW. (prefect size and readability and a proven and tested design).

That Branis gui looks great! (I prefer knobs to sliders generally for synths anyway)

The synth was finished and fully usable a loooooong long long time ago.Kriminal wrote:erm, why is it takin so long to 'finish' what is bascally a very simple VA synth?
Now it is only evolving.
The thread starter is not here anymore i think so he cant change the title.

The OP, osiris, is still around KVR (last post was a couple weeks ago) but might not be following the thread. Anyone interested could send a PM and ask him to change the subject line.

the one thing i'm still unhappy with in the synth is actually the waveshaper pre-filter which i think should go from lowpass for the bottom 50% to highpass at the top 50% of the control. the only problem is that normally you want at least 30hz highpass or so to prevent the shaper from saturating and stealing away all the low frequency content.
that's the reason i haven't done it yet, i'm still thinking about it. i don't think anybody would even notice if i changed that, they might start using it though
i'll probably just do a fixed highpass at 24hz and then the plain 6db low to 50% and 6db high for the top of the control.
any ideas on that or does it sound good? (remember there is only one control available for the parameter, so no bandpass is possible unless it's a fixed one)
