lol...Sorry T-Racks,
Come to think of it I could sell the old version of the T-Racks plug-in and make up some of the cash seeing as I still get the crossgrade (having almost all of IK's stuff..) 8)

Hmmm...but you gotta find someone who doesn't know the new one is out. They see one screencap of that, and it's all over!

well the new standard version is 200 dollars..
I suppose I could sell the earlier version for 100 maybe (minus the transfer fee I would make 60 dollars)...better than nothing i suppose!. :hihi:

BTW I realize its a long shot... lol!!!

Yeah, totally: $100 off is $100 off! :tu:

I'm just glad this is coming at a time where I'm running into some money, and I'll be upgrading my whole rig. Joy. :D

I was eyeing up the BlueTubes pack recently because I was looking for a definitive set of mixing tools instead of the stock ones in Cubase 4 (the UAD2 series are out of my price range)...but I'm gonna jump on this Deluxe T-Racks at the very latest before the end of the year..

Yeah, I'm hoping that, as track plugins, they won't be too CPU-heavy... :scared:

Just for the sake of giving my opinion(which you may or may not care about), I like the Blue Tubes plugins. Not the most advanced plugins on the market, but great sounding IMO. The channel strip is excellent.

It will be interesting to see how well the Fairchild 670 and the Pultec EQP-1A hold up to the UAD emulations.

I'm not sure. Sonalksis has no good mastering plugins, the new limiter are not the best compared to others. The compressor is very nice, but more for tracks (same with the EQ).

I would prefer TRacks. But of course, I have no idea of version 3. Must wait when the demo is available.

You must be kidding, the new Sonalksis mastering plugs are all I really need (+ some Nomad Factory Stuff) for my mastering, bye bye waves etc

I like the Sonalksis stuff too, but you know...

I can't figure out, why there is no linear phase eq in the SMS, above and beyond the multi-band.... I mean, talk about a mistake.

I just tried to finish off a complete track, using the Sonalksis, and like I was saying on page one of this thread. Honestly, I think T-Racks will be a little more forgiving to the user. If you are not in a perfect room, it is a pain in the ass to balance a track, no matter what you use. The more precision your tools ask for, the more perfect your monitors, card and room needs to be. **

** No, I have no scientific evidence to back that statement up. Please do not ask.

If I take a T-Racks demo, and like the product, that is where I might go. No matter how fantastic the Sonalksis are, both products are not one size fits all, both have pros and cons, and personally....

I have to do, what is going to allow me more flexibility: With my sound, with my other tools, with my studio environment, and with my vibe and final render.

But I've never used T-Racks, so, I still can't make a choice.

I'm not a good consumer. I just don't think I could buy both. Who spends money like that anymore? Where you just buy everything in sight, no matter what? That is a behavior, I think a lot of people have fallen out of touch with. In a funny way, the dollar has more value now, than it ever did.

Maybe that is the credit crunch. Maybe the world is starting to seriously undervalue the dollar, and quite frankly: Who needs to spend it?

( a couple of quick edits )

A) Incase your wondering, at the end... I did not, "home master," my latest work, easily found in the music cafe, with the Sonalksis... I just want to clarify. I gave it a shot, and then turned to my usual. Apple built in multiband + Ddmf lp10 + stillwell event Horizon.

B) Have you read the metering page on Ik multi's T-Racks 3?

http://www.ikmultimedia.com/t-racks/mor ... einfo9.php

Incredible metering, IMHO. A perceived Loudness meter! Read that. Essentially, you can just analyze any c.d. of yours, and begin to get a good picture of where you ought to be on loudness.

If that is not useful I don't know what is.

Most of us, are trying to do in our project studios, a very silly task, imho. We are trying to snag, "a pro master,"
:hihi:

That is a silly task, and software that makes that easy... Is a little more appealing to me, than software that will need a precision environment, professional abilities.

Not that I am unprofessional, but I do like getting cut, my much needed slack...
