I am late to the party : massive thanks to everyone who sampled and gathered and uploaded these packs !

However, i have downloaded all the .7z archives, i have 7zip on my computer, and i can't manage to unzip them.
I read it is wavpack, i have wavpack frontend, and it doesn't work either...
I have read the last 4 pages of the thread and could not find any "howto" or any hint to unpack the archives... Sorry if it has been requested/answered many times... But could anyone lead me to a solution ?

Thanks again, Loachm and Dreadddd !
I hope you've figured this out already, but, wavpack just refers to the fact that the pack contains wav files. It doesn't mean that the files are in the "wavpack" lossless format.

For those having trouble unzipping, (some of) these (and other) breakbeats are at http://www.rhythm-lab.com/breakbeats They are in wav and rex format, but you have to download each individually.

Edit: after downloading the LoachM breakbeats and comparing them to Rhythm-Lab, they are actually not the same at all. The Rhythm-lab breakbeats include some, but not all of the LoachM beats in dreadd's pack.

Ok, I downloaded the Rhythm-Lab breakbeats and they are quite good, like LoachM's, they focus well on beats that loop easily.

Rhythm Lab also has a link for more beats from "Doubleclick". Doubleclick's files are more extensive, but not so focused on straight up loops. Plenty of good stuff though, loops, brass hits, vocals, funky bass, guitar, etc., if you have the time to go through it all.
Doubleclick's break pack is pretty popular, lots of folks have snagged it via links at Dogs on Acid.

the first mega pack should be available online for recycling pleasure
:)

warnings:
a) its a single mirror for download
b) it's a multipart archive made with 7zip (freeware)
with that said (meaning i wont do another mirror or a different format)
this is the link for the megapacked archive with all the rex files of this thread
enjoy! :)

...nope, the download started without problems when I just tried it. In the original thread on DOA is a link, too, from someone who has also uploaded the collection just this week.

...and I will post some more breaks the next few days...
