... a serious question....

are they usable for live tweaking?

i'm reorganizing my ableton live setup and i'm looking for some coole and easy to use effects....

Will Zebra 2.5 use the same effect algorythms as Uhbik?

(one can always try :D) teehee...

But of course!

The reverb naturally has some parameters that glitch a bit but all other knobs should work glitch free. They even have a "soft host sync" where a change in LFO-speed would be smooth sounding, but the unit resyncs to song position in a moment of silence.

I don't think so - honest answer: Zebrify would make Uhbik surplus. Which doesn't mean that Uhbik won't have any impact on future Z2 fx algorithms.

Why a bundle?

Havn't made a decision yet.

One major point *for* a bundle is Uhbik-X. Which is a bit of a rack of Uhbiks with advanced modulations (think lfos, envelopes, modmatrix), cool signal routing possibilities (including multiband processing and feedback loops). Let's just say, all these single effects are to Uhbik-X what Zebralette is to Zebra2. If you just want to whop a tape flanger on a mix, you use Uhbik-F. But if you want to have a phaser that goes deeper when the input is louder, you can quickly hook that up in X. If Uhbiks sell separately, Uhbik-X would of course only be part of the bundle.

Interesting. If you do go separate, you could simply bundle Uhbik-X with each plugin, such that the single plugin user has the beginnings/enticement of building a larger suite of Uhbik effects, without being committed to effects they don't want.
