Yep been a big fan since they released the 'none' ep and then along destroy.erase.improve came alongVSTJuNkiE wrote:NEKRO.MACHINE wrote:just mentioning it as one of my 'experiences'/'experiments' but the gains that i use and many bands i have tracked use is high, very high and tuned below (many times WAY below) EADGBE mainly*.
Yeah I tune to "C" myself. You get nice thick chunk on C. Sometimes for the hell of I'll tune down real real low to the point where, when u pick, it sounds like a bend each time. Or till the strings flap on the pick-ups. Sounds like the strings barf every time u pick.Only for effect though. There's a song on Meshuggah's Catch 33 where the singer is singing through a vocoder and picking different strings and u can hear them flappin' all over the place. Kind of a cool experimental vibe.
Btw, Meshuggah's new CD, Obzen, is very good. Check out "Bleed" there drummer is totally sick mate.(can those not from way out west even use the word"m8"?)

Later, man.
Lowest i have been is Drop D but down to G! i consider a set of 12 - 52 as 'light' gauge strings but i dont bother with a seven string or baritone guitar as i easily get brutal without
Take it easy \m/ @@ \m/ JuNkiE mate and more metal talk is always welcome

Sweet! I made it on the 200th page! Though I have nothing of value I will pay homage to this thread by sarificing 2 minutes of my time towards it by writing this and then waiting for it to laod and then looking at it to make sure I have not accidently made an incriminating destructive typo.
