other requests:
*text-name for the dots (centered)
*possibility to trigger scenes via midinotes
* bug report: in AUDIT scene mode it happens sometimes that even if you click on a dot it sends NOT the relative midi scene... so you have to trigger another dot and than again the wanted one... please make the plug send the scene EACH TIME a dot is triggered (even if you trigger a dot repeatedly)

i did a little work on this. i made it save the menu options and cursor position, and the vst automation works slightly better (it adapts to window size, but not zoom). i also changed some colors, but they're not user-selectable yet. that's it for now...

fr: when you release the mousebutton in the proximity of the center of a dot, the cursor will center it, and send the scene. (optional)
it's important when the morphy has to control rythmic effects

Wow, fantastic work ,piz. It's quite the arsenal you've given us, and in a very under-populated area of plugin development too.insertpizhere wrote:now you can give each scene its own name and color. same link... http://thepiz.org/xt/MiddyMorphy.zip

what if i make it calculate the values based on distance from the edge of a scene rather than the center? that would make it easier to get the correct value. go ahead and try it: http://thepiz.org/xt/MiddyMorphy.zip
thanks, but i didn't do much here. credit goes to d3ck.robenestobenz wrote:Wow, fantastic work ,piz. It's quite the arsenal you've given us, and in a very under-populated area of plugin development too.

it could be a good solution butinsertpizhere wrote:what if i make it calculate the values based on distance from the edge of a scene rather than the center? that would make it easier to get the correct value. go ahead and try it: http://thepiz.org/xt/MiddyMorphy.zip
.
i used a midimonitor and it seems that there are cc variations moving the cursor inside a dot...
my intention is to have both morphing and precision scene triggering in a single mode
regarding precise scene triggering, you can use audit scene option. but you have to remember to deselect a scene, clicking on the blank space, if you want to morph.. not good for live
if you turn off audit scene, you cannot trigger scenes clicking on the dots but only dragging the cursor from the blank space to a dot. just because clicking/touching a dot simply selects it.
well
for me the solution could be:
use the right mouse button to select and move scenes (the delete-name-color will appear in the menù)
while with left button you can trigger scenes or morph
regarding precision: the idea of calculating the morph from the edge is good for me but if the cursor is inside a dot there mustn't be cc variations

Hmm not too sure what kind of resolution that is needed but what about quantizing the cc's to snap to the desired number? Just a guessinsertpizhere wrote:what if i make it calculate the values based on distance from the edge of a scene rather than the center? that would make it easier to get the correct value. go ahead and try it: http://thepiz.org/xt/MiddyMorphy.zip
