With 88 keys, do you need transpose?

Post

I am not 100% sure, but I don't remember any settings regarding semitones.

Post

Semitone transposing is a useful feature if you aren't that familiar with a lot of scales
Octave shifting isn't that useful if you have 88 keys

Can anyone verify the lack of a transposition feature. I read through the manual, and no mention was made of this. Only octave, (or 2), up or down seems available, no semitone transposing.
I have the KX61 and there is a transpose feature named Octave on the keyboard 3 octaves up and down

I realize it can transpose by octaves.

I'm talking semitone transposition as mentioned above. Not everyone is fluent in all 12 keys on the keyboard. That is why the particular reviewer that I provided a link for, sent his back.

Just quoting him, and I found nothing in the manual about semitone transposition.

There is no semitone transpose on the Yamaha KX keyboards.

Currently looking for a good 61 key keyboard and realizing that absolutely all MIDI controllers suck at the moment. The Yamaha would be perfect but without semitone transpose... it's just a joke. Yamaha built in a lot of features to integrate this piece of kit with Cubase but nobody in their dev team realise that it would be nice to code in semitone transposition? Epic WTF :x
