The tird one was closest in vibe and style. The others sound like something Rachmiel or I would do. :)
Excellent sounds none the less. Sound sources?

Number 2 and 3 were good fun. That bubbly bass in #3 is very Autechre.

Victor.

Sounds a bit like Venetian Snares going quaristice. :)

Just dip them in a bucket of thick altiverb and you're there.
If you like this new Autechre sound, I recommend getting the quad range collection of EP's. Really amazing stuff.

edit: oh don't forget the 4/4 hollow wood snare...

I really dig the stuff you and Rachmiel do so I'll take that as a compliment.

Sound sources are pretty basic FM stuff with a ton of processing and automation.

I have really mixed feelings about Quaristice and I'm pretty sure I prefer Untilted but I agree that there's some good stuff on the Quadrange EPs. Better than the actual album overall I'd say.

At first I was really disappointed with Quaristice, but after hours of listening I can't get enough of it. Went through the exact same thing with Untilted.

Someone should make a collection of all the ambient tracks from the different Quaristice releases, as these are quite original. Love the dry drone sounds.

While I am only loosely familiar with most of the music from Autechre, I can hear the similarities. I agre with Justin, track 3 sounds closest to Quaristice.
Nice work, though these have enough personality of yours in them to stand apart from Autechre.. :)

It also took me a *long* time to warm up to Untilted. I honestly only really like a third of it still but that third is amazing. For the most part Quaristice still hasn't clicked for me but maybe it just needs more time.

Thanks! These are mostly studies of techniques I plan to use to spice up slightly less over-the-top music once I've gotten a better hang of them.

Here's another one. This one uses only what's in the Ableton 7 box. No extra plugins or samples.
